This is my number 1 favorite place to eat, my only complaint is the 3 hour windows in the middle of the day that they aren't open (2pm-5pm) which is a little inconvenient

Tiny and quaint, Himalayan is a true gem in Lancaster. The food and service are first-rate. This is a must visit for travelers to the City as well as residents who have yet to treat their taste buds to authentic Indian and Bhutanes cuisine.

It honestly makes me sad to write this because Himalayan Curry and Grill used to be one of our favorite spots, but our recent visit was really disappointing. My curry was so watery it felt more like soup, and my girlfriend’s dish, which she’s loved on previous visits, was much more bland this time. The flavors and quality just weren’t what they used to be. It’s hard to recommend this place now, which is a shame because it used to be so good.

Best nepali/indian food I’ve had. Place was tiny but still very beautifully laid out, incredibly sweet staff, and even more incredibly delicious food. And for $15? You can’t beat that.
Besides the Momo, The food is just OK. The service was good, nothing extraordinary. Not sure why it was so dark in here, difficult to see what the food looked like, maybe trying to set a mood, but it just made it feel dingy. I think the clients they cater to here, might not be inclined to authentic Nepali food in all it's glory. Even after requesting for the dishes to be spicy, it was bland. The Appetizer Chicken was overwhelmed with Cardamom, and had a raw lingering taste of raw spices. The lamb was floating in more of a broth than a curry style gravy, didn't realize when they asked do you want it dry or with sauce, they meant soup. The mixed Vegetable Curry was frozen vegetables, sad that an upscale restaurant would serve pre mixed frozen vegetables, especially after charging a pretty price for it. The Mixed Grill Shrimp were cooked perfectly, as well as the Lamb, however the chicken tandoori was bland, and under seasoned. Above all, I didn't understand the point of the unnecessary vegetables like Cabbage & Broccoli, not something one would be served in an authentic Nepali dish. I was quite disappointed to be honest, the only dish on the menu which was really good was the Chicken Tikka Masala, and the Naan was a close second. I don't think I will be returning to this place.

The food was absolutely delicious, I wish the place was bigger but honestly it does not take away from the excellent food, service or atmosphere. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone I know you’ve got to try it at least once !
