Food was amazing. Wish there was more pictures on the menu as examples. I gave a 4 out of 5 bc your bathroom was atrocious. We came in at 12 and you just opened. There was pee on the seats, trash on the floor, tp that hadn't been flushed and the counters were wet. After such an awesome meal, it was super gross to walk in to.

I’m really disappointed. I used to really like Issei before they destroyed themselves. They had great food, an immersive atmosphere, and reasonable prices for their portion size. Now, the place is like every other modern ramen cafe. The portions seem like they have shrunk, and the dishes don’t taste the same at all. I got black garlic ramen and it just tasted off. Not to mention the fact that it was like $20. They took practically everything good off their menu, really just disappointing.

The food and ambiance were amazing. My boyfriend and I were in from out of town and this was my favorite experience eating Japanese food by far. Kat was especially helpful with all of our questions, recommendations and is overall a wonderful soul. Kat made our experience so unique and made us feel right at home- she made our day! We also loved the interior design of the restaurant, everything from the interior, to the food, to the staff was so tasteful here! Can’t wait to come back some day🥰

I don't think there's enough good things I could say about Issei. The ramen was incredible. Their pork broth is smooth, fragrant, and delicious. It's got such a vibrant flavor. The chashu pork tasted beautiful, with sweet notes of ginger to bring out the flavors. 10/10 ramen for sure! The stir fried ramen was flavorful and spicy. The veggies were cooked perfectly. Super tasty! The service is very attentive and very pleasant. All around great experience. I can't wait to come back!

The Issei Noodle offers a very nice and cozy atmosphere with excellent service. The staff were highly attentive and friendly. The food, specifically the Tofu Tantan-men and Kyuri Sunomono, was pretty good. Tantan-men apparently the most popular and I can see why - the broth was quite flavorful and spicy. Though the noodles were just ok. I wish they had more veggies available to add. Overall, it was a positive experience, but not compelling enough for a repeat visit.

It was good, just did not impress. Limited menu but everyone enjoyed their choices. Would not eat there again but would recommend to others that like ramen.
Decent food, so-so service. They were harried, They brought water, but no water glasses, and left us at the hostess stand for long enough that we were about to leave when someone finally came to seat us. I would be more apt to get take out if we find ourselves back in town with a hankering for ramen.

Got the Tokyo tonkotsu ramen!! Added an egg!! egg was delicious! Porky broth and noodles I slurped!! :)
The lady got kaargan chicken rice bowl!!! The chicken was delicious and huge!!?!
We did some apps and the water was refilled fast !!

My favorite ramen restaurant hands down! The tantan-men is the perfect spicy pick-me-up, especially on chilly days. The takoyaki is delicious as well!

Simply spectacular! Went on the Friday during Zenkaikon (anime convention) so yes it was jammed. However we were seated quickly and service couldn’t have been faster! We ordered from the Izakaya smalls menu and everything was amazing. We had 4 small plates which were incredibly generous. I highly recommend the gyoza and waygu menchi meatballs ( I want…NO…I need the recipe). The space was amazing and I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. I can guarantee you will enjoy Issei.
