Incredible dining experience. Our waiter was so attentive and friendly. The antelope meat was tender and delicious. It is a must try! The Marilyn Monroe cocktail was amazing! The best lemon meringue in the city!!

So we didn’t expect to need plans for Valentine’s Day due to other reasons…but we stumbled on this place and although they were booked we were able to get seats at the bar! The restaurant itself was so beautiful, it reminded me of new york. There was also live music!! It was piano and cello I think. We ordered a salad and the antelope appetizer that my boyfriend wanted to try very badly and then we also ordered the vegan dish which was very good and the salmon birria. My boyfriend actually liked my vegan dish better than his but we liked both. It was such a pleasant experience especially as we didn’t think we could get int any nice place for Valentines!

As far as we're concerned, this is Lancaster's top restaurant. Never a disappointment.
Tonight we started with the new to menu Cream of Onion soup and the Chilean Sea Bass app. Both were fabulous. The soup is decadently rich and savory...it arrives at your table as a dry bowl with a crostini topped with onion jam and lump crab. The server pours the creamy soup around and over the crostini. Both of us loved it. The sea bass was very good, though we preferred the previous version of it with the more savory miso glaze over the new Kim chi version.
Entrees were the always scrumptious scallop dish and the salmon Birria. My wife has a difficult time ordering anything other than the scallops here. She swears they are the best anywhere and she loves the sear on top. All of the sauces were directly on point
Speaking of sauces... The Birria sauce on my salmon was out of this world. I've never tasted anything like it. The mild chili and other spices in this greatly reduced version were the perfect complement to the fish. Probably my favorite salmon dish of all time.
Though both of us were pleasantly full, you can't go to Josephine's and not get the lemon meringue dessert. A creamy style lemon surrounds a poached pear and the whole thing is surrounded by superb toasted meringue.
Kyle, our server, was amazing. Helpful, pleasant, interactive, informative, and funny. The meal was paced perfectly. Can't wait to go back!

Josephine's is the best fine dining in York, Lancaster, and Adams counties! I'd even add Cape May, NJ as well to the mix. The food was exquisite, the service was stellar, and the decor was Hollywood Regency meets French haute couture. Amazing!

Excellent experience for our 54th Anniversary. Server was engaging and helpful. Food was tremendous! I have the 8oz filet. Meld in your mouth good with amazing sauces. Duck was well prepared and both presentations were wonderful.
Excellent starter, salad, soup, entree and dessert along with excellent service! Will definitely go again!

We have been to Josephine's several times and we do enjoy it there. This most recent trip did not feel as upscale as we have come to expect. The service was mediocre, we waited a long time to order drinks and then a while to order dinner, our salad plates sat empty in front of us for a while before they were taken away, we were not offered more bread, etc. Everything was efficient, but not what I have come to expect from Josephine's, or anywhere else at this price point for that matter. The food was good, though $17 for a relatively small caesar salad seems excessive to me. We do enjoy Joesphine's quite a bit and we are regulars at the Belvedere, so we are likely to be back, but this visit did not meet my expectations, especially for the price.
We were a party of 9 celebrating Christmas with relatives. The wait staff was not phrased by the size of our group.

We went yesterday to celebrate our Son, Alex's birthday! What amazing service and spectacular food! Our server, Bennie, was tremendous, kind, attentive and charasmatic! Not sure how to upload unfortunately. For appetizers, we had the house made bacon, antelope and octopus- wowza! All super great. Main courses chosen were filet with bone marrow butter( phenomenal), scallops( amazing) and the huge crab cake( fresh and superb).
Can't wait to go again, maybe sit at one of the bars. Wonderful time, elegant atmosphere! Just wish I know where to upload pics of the food. Each dish was a piece of art :)

Wonderful meal as always. We tried the sea bass appetizer this time and it was incredible.
Everything was great but the table had me thinking I ate LSD. Wobbled like an unsure drunk. Spent lot of money. Asked to change tables and they told us not possible. We had to jam a spoon underneath so our drinks wouldn’t spill. Bus boy said it’s the humidity in the old building. I use a butter knife to tighten the screws mid meal. Humidity had nothing to do with it. I call this place the wobbly table bar.
