I loved it, so my husband and I decided to try this place out. And I must say I'm so glad we did! It sure was good! The rice was excellent! The food had all the perfect old school flavour. So much Spanish food dilutes the flavors in this day and age and they don't lack
Absolutely amazing food. Was just to PR and this food ranks right up with the places we ate in PR. Staff was polite and attentive, thank you Christal for an amazing dining experience! Ding dong baby ding dong
the food was very fresh and flavorful
The service was wonderful, the food tasted fantastic, and the drinks were amazing. Definitely a great spot for “special occasion” dining.
My husband and I visited Old San Juan while celebrating our 21st Wedding Anniversary. The staff was super friendly, the food was very authentic (we are both from the Island originally). The veggie empanadillas were delicious!
There are 2 vegan options on the menu, a couple appetizers and sides. They have a lunch buffet but most of it is meat. The Isla Verde bowl was delicious and the kiwi guac as well. We tried to get the Vegetarian Delight but they were out of some vegetables. The server was very friendly and helpful and gave us a good dining experience. According to my Puerto Rican mother-in-law, the food is very authentic! Be aware that the black beans and the white rice are Boothe vegetarian/vegan, while the yellow rice and red beans are not. Being a Puerto Rican, a musician and a cook, this place is excellent. Nice upscale Puerto Rican food service. The food was delicious! The atmosphere is beautiful, the music is perfect (Salsa Lo Mío) and the staff was supper friendly. I know there’s plenty of great Puerto Rican places to eat at a lower cost but here you get what you pay for. Perfect date night and anniversary for the Mrs and I.
So my husband and I decided to give this place a try. And I must say I am so happy we did! It was definitely good! The rice was perfect! The food had all the perfect old school flavors. A lot of Spanish food goes light on the flavors in this day and age and they do not lack! The prices are a little high for and appetizer for only 2 empanadias was 9 buck I do think they should serve 4 for that price. I do get it its a small home town business trying to succeed! But there is a few things they could give and pull on. I'd love to see some more small Spanish things but I would definitely go back here! I just hope it is as good as the first time when I go back! Keep up the good food Old San Juan! Thank you for the good hospitality!
What a VERY nice surprise to find this restaurant! The building and decor is outstanding with a flair of the arts. The lunch buffet was a bit warm but fresh and seasoned.Luis our server was courteous and prompt. We will definitely be back!
The truth very bad service the manager does not know how to treat customers. I had to wait too long for the food and when it was brought it was not what I expected. I do not recommend it at all ????????????

The food at this place has got to be the absolute worst food I have ever seen/tasted in my years of eating out.My mother and son ordered a “bistec encebollado” what they brought out was some old steamed pieces of meat with some old looking onions. The rice was old and stale. The “tostones” we’re old and obviously had been refried. My daughter ordered a “Cuban sandwich” these ppl need to look at what a Cuban sandwich is first before attempting to sell such a thing. My mothers beans were so salty, I tasted them and it looks like what they did was just pour some cumin and salt into them and called it a day. Disgusting!I was so appalled by the quality of this food I expressed my dissatisfaction with the the waitress. My mother and son did not touch their food. She came back and said “oh I’m sorry, but we can only remove one dish”Oh and before I forget, not only are these ppl serving old nasty food, but the prices!!!! 31 dollars for a bistec encebollado? Not prime, not sirloin, an old nasty looking boiled meat served with old rice and some beans with a pouch of Sazón Goya and cumin thrown in them.Ridiculous!!!!!!STAY AWAY…..If you got money to throw away then go, if you want to be left with a stomach ache or nauseous for the rest of the day then go!
Great food and excellent service topped a stupendous meal for us. Thanks to all the staff!
Nice atmosphere with music. Our server Tyara was very friendly and welcoming, and attentive. The food was full of flavor. If you are in Lancaster and are looking for foos that taste home cooked swing by Old San Juan.
Save your money and your tastebuds. This food is awful. Flavorless. Who ever is in that kitchen knows NOTHING about Puerto Rican food. To add to the AWFUL food, the price is OUTRAGEOUS! $230 dollars and most of that food stayed on the plates when we left. So disappointed.
Delicious. Authentic. Very cute space and great service!
