I loved it, so my husband and I decided to try this place out. And I must say I'm so glad we did! It sure was good! The rice was excellent! The food had all the perfect old school flavour. So much Spanish food dilutes the flavors in this day and age and they don't lack

The best food around. I have been looking for a place like this for a while and a friend recommended this place and I could not be happier. The food was great, the atmosphere was great and the service was great. I'll definitely be coming back many more times.

I love coming to this restaurant. But this time traveling to Lancaster, I was sad to find out that they relocated to another spot not too far away from the old location. LOCATION: This new location sits on the second floor of a building. Steps are pretty narrow, so I can't imagine the elderly being able to climb a flight and a half of steps to enjoy such delicacies. So the new location is absolutely beautiful and more fancy than their old location. I love the ambiance. I went there on a Saturday at approximately 4:00 p.m. and there was Zero clientele. It seems like this place may have lost a lot of customers due to the location being on the second floor, but I could be wrong. I'll be honest, very clean, well lit with many slits of skyline above. I love the decor it still reminds me of Old San Juan, along with the Spanish music playing in the background. FOOD: amazing as always, even though I was struggling because they removed one of my favorite dishes from the menu, which was ropa Vieja. You get a lot of food on your plate, and all of the dishes are very flavorful and cook to order. CUSTOMER SERVICE: I love how attentive the staff were even though we were the only ones in the place. The waitress is very knowledgeable about the dishes and extremely accommodating. I wanted something simple to drink like a lemonade, and they made me some from scratch, so I was so thankful. I would definitely recommend coming to this place if you're looking for authentic San Juan dishes

I won't even give this restaurant a single star if I could. I am very disappointed that on 10/28 this restaurant was closed. Despite there being no announcement on their website or social media saying that they would be closed for service. I am highly disappointed that a restaurant would be closed for dinner service on a peak night with no warning.

Absolutely amazing food. Was just to PR and this food ranks right up with the places we ate in PR. Staff was polite and attentive, thank you Christal for an amazing dining experience! Ding dong baby ding dong

The service was wonderful, the food tasted fantastic, and the drinks were amazing. Definitely a great spot for “special occasion” dining.

My husband and I visited Old San Juan while celebrating our 21st Wedding Anniversary. The staff was super friendly, the food was very authentic (we are both from the Island originally). The veggie empanadillas were delicious!

Old San Juan provided the perfect amount of flavor and mojitos to remind me of past travels to Puerto Rico. The bistec was perfectly prepared, and the tostones were as good as I remembered. The prices can be a little off putting but the portions are large and you can very easily get two meals out of one entree. Great staff, decor, and music added a welcome ambiance to a great meal.

There are 2 vegan options on the menu, a couple appetizers and sides. They have a lunch buffet but most of it is meat. The Isla Verde bowl was delicious and the kiwi guac as well. We tried to get the Vegetarian Delight but they were out of some vegetables. The server was very friendly and helpful and gave us a good dining experience. According to my Puerto Rican mother-in-law, the food is very authentic! Be aware that the black beans and the white rice are Boothe vegetarian/vegan, while the yellow rice and red beans are not. Being a Puerto Rican, a musician and a cook, this place is excellent. Nice upscale Puerto Rican food service. The food was delicious! The atmosphere is beautiful, the music is perfect (Salsa Lo Mío) and the staff was supper friendly. I know there’s plenty of great Puerto Rican places to eat at a lower cost but here you get what you pay for. Perfect date night and anniversary for the Mrs and I.

So my husband and I decided to give this place a try. And I must say I am so happy we did! It was definitely good! The rice was perfect! The food had all the perfect old school flavors. A lot of Spanish food goes light on the flavors in this day and age and they do not lack! The prices are a little high for and appetizer for only 2 empanadias was 9 buck I do think they should serve 4 for that price. I do get it its a small home town business trying to succeed! But there is a few things they could give and pull on. I'd love to see some more small Spanish things but I would definitely go back here! I just hope it is as good as the first time when I go back! Keep up the good food Old San Juan! Thank you for the good hospitality!

What a VERY nice surprise to find this restaurant! The building and decor is outstanding with a flair of the arts. The lunch buffet was a bit warm but fresh and seasoned.Luis our server was courteous and prompt. We will definitely be back!

Yes, service was great! The food was AMAZING! The pernil was cooked to perfection. The "yellow" rice was arroz con guandules and done right! Mofongo was delicious, oooh with the chicken broth! And the drinks were yummy! I recommend this place, yes yes yes!
