Proof of Lancaster

My friends and I had such a great time here! The food was good, fun cocktails, and the wine selection was amazing. The manager even spoke to me about one of the wines I wanted to sample. We will be returning for sure.

Absolutely fantastic birthday meal. Drinks were perfect. Bartenders know how to make old fashioneds. Oysters were fresh and well sourced. Entrees were creative and absolutely delicious. Server was attentive but not overwhelming. Really cool vibe and atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back!

We came for a company Christmas party with a party of about 10 and the bartender told us we could not be served because there must be open seats at the bar. Terrible customer service and unfortunately a very poor display of hospitality.

Service was extremely slow. It took us 35 minutes to get our drink once seated. It took another 30 minutes to get our entrees. I paid 30 days for the lobster which was served with chips. That I feel is a little ridiculous. The meal was good not worth 30 dollars. My wife got the cioppino seafood dish 42 dollars to peel your own shrimp. This place is okay. My wife and I eat out often usually trying new spots. There are at least a dozen other places I would go in the Lancaster area before going back here . Sorry drink was good, food was okay, Service horrible. Most likely won't be back

Cocktails were fabulous. The down side is you can’t breath. Kitchen seems to have no ventilation and smoke fills the air and the place is hazy. Makes it not enjoyable. They really need to improve ventilation. Won’t be back. My clothes stink now.

This was my first visit to Proof. I am stunned. The entire visit was amazing!
Everything from start to finish was 5 stars!
Our server Casey was simply a delight with her attentiveness, knowledge of the menu and postivie attitude! She truly is a bright star! *tips hat*
I ordered the Chicken Chasseur. It was divine! (STANDING OVATION to Chef Chris).
The atmosphere of Proof is warm, inviting and upon descending the stairs leading from street level, you find yourself at the door where an atmospheric tone with a friendly nod welcomes you.
And true to it's name, Proof, has a list of distinguished spirits and a list of wines from around the globe.
For dessert I set my eyes on the Fig Leaf Olive Oil Cake. Impeccable!
I learned that everything is made fresh and all veggies are locally sourced!
Quite an evening at Proof and very much enjoyed.
A second visit is in the works.

I’ve been here a few times and always enjoyed the food, drinks and atmosphere. However, tonight they defied my expectations with the most fantastic short rib. I’ve had a lot of short ribs but this was a culinary masterpiece the way all the flavors were paired together. I will definitely be trying to eat here again before it goes off the menu.

Cool place for a date night.

Service was too slow.
Food was alright.
Appetizers were great and so were the drinks.

Most people just get drinks here because it’s on the pricier side, but food was also worth a try.
If we go back, it would be for apps and drinks though.

If you're going for cocktails, not so good. .maybe if you want a single malt. They have a very short list of cocktails. I asked for a Manhattan and with a bourbon they recommend. It was awful. The drink presentation was also non existent.

Amazing Burrata dish, best I have ever had. Great atmosphere with jazz on First Fridays. Tough to find Spanish and Portuguese white wines in Lancaster, great ones here. Casey was awesome as a server. Come here on a First Friday, you will have a great time. BRAVO, PROOF!!!
