River Street Sweets

I have been in this store on multiple occasions and the employees are kind and give you a very positive experience. HOWEVER the manager Chris is extremely rude and it is very offensive the way he treats and talks to those poor girls who are doing their best to provide customers with all the help and customer satisfaction that they can. I would give 5 stars if his actions weren't so absolutely reprehensible.

We got a variety of chocolates and some Carmel apples. The staff was very friendly, however she gave me milk chocolate carmels when I asked for dark chocolate, didn't notice until we got home. The chocolates are good, but not $30 a pound good.

Very disappointed to find the primary ingredients in the "Chocolate Covered Peanuts is "Sugar and Hydrogenated Palm Kernel Oil". Milk Chocolate is listed but at the end of the ingredient list.- so less real chocolate. Makes me wonder... really created in "small batches"... with artificial cheaper ingredients? Tasted waxy and lacking flavor and at a whopping $5.95 for a 6 oz bag- a rip off. I have tasted way better candy than this.

Google maps location is wrong. You'll never find it. Go all the way to the back of the outlet and make a left. It's next to the timberland store. Service was great. The atmosphere was even better. My milkshake was way too thin.

The young ladies working in the store were awesome but I will have to say the prices are a little high. I'm not paying $18 & $30 a pound for the same stuff I can find cheaper, especially the candy that's $18 a pound.

Absolutely LOVE this place! Majority of the time you can watch the treats being made! So much old timey candy as well as new sweets. The ice cream and Gelatos are my favorite and everyone is always so friendly! We even travel from York to come for a treat after moving.

Food that you always hope its gonna taste like but rarely does. When you take that first bite and know how you know how it's supposed taste like. Well run to Miller's. They make our favorite food the way it's to be made.

I had high hopes for this place but was quite disappointed. I got cookies and cream fudge and it was so hard, I could not bite it or break it. I also got a cookies and cream rice crispy and again it was so hard, I could not bite it. That leads me to think it’s old and not fresh. For the amount of money I paid for those two items, I expected better.
