My wife and I got married almost 3 months and we used Simply from Scratch as our catering team. We had the most AMAZING experience working with Jennifer and Karen!
We had a longer engagement (almost 2 years), and we scheduled a food tasting prior to booking SFS for our wedding (we wanted to make sure the food was even good before booking them). The food was delicious so we instantly booked them! When it came time to picking out our wedding food menu, it had been so long since we tried their food, they let us have another small tasting to sample a few more items. We also really wanted our wedding cake to have rainbow layers on the inside, and SFS gave us a mini cake at the tasting to try out the coloring, etc. It was so thoughtful and made us so happy!
SFS also met with us at the linen shop and helped us pick our tablecloths, plates, forks, etc. I was second guessing myself a few months after picking the linens, and they helped us pick out some new tablecloth options, as well. Our day was BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Now for the food (aka the best part) - WOW, DELICIOUS!!!! We ordered the Cesar salad (I'm obsessed with Cesar salad - it was delicious!), the garlic parmesan chicken, the braised short ribs, scalloped potatoes, roasted glazed carrots. We had the food as a buffet, and they were so quick/efficient with it. For the dessert, we had cupcakes, cookies, shooters, a donut wall, a two-tiered cake - so so good!! Breakfast is also my favorite food, and I really wanted a late night snack of breakfast sandwiches (this wasn't on their menu but SFS made it happen)... this was one of my favorite things they made!
Lastly, the SFS team was so professional, sweet, nurturing (they gave us sweet motherly/grandmother vibes <3). Everyone is still talking about how amazing the food was!!! Some people have said it's the best wedding food they've ever had. 10/10 recommend having SFS cater your wedding/event!!!

We had our Banquet catered by Simply..... The Mac and Cheese was burnt. The Chicken was over cooked and so dry. The Beef was over cooked.The gravy on top was awful and did nothing for the beef. This meal was so disappointing. I would not recommend them at all.

Not only was Jennifer delighted by something different, but she and her team came up with the most stunning and delicious pie table for our wedding, complete with pecan pie bites that we still drool over when we think of them to this day! They also worked with us to come up with the yummiest signature cocktails that all of our guests were raving about. And the food itself was AMAZING! The presentation alone was a knockout! The team on our wedding day was also extremely professional and did such a wonderful job setting up, serving all of our guests, and cleaning/packing up everything afterward. Lastly, the team they worked with at Queen Street Linens for the table linens and napkins was just superb. They collectively took our fall color palette for our wedding and executed it beautifully. Hiring Simply from Scratch is a no-brainer - they cover food, dessert, bar, cutlery, and linens, and do it all in such a kind-hearted and professional manner!

I was at a picnic yesterday that you catered in Mt Joy and the food was fantastic!!! We had pulled pork, meatballs ( rolls for each too) pasta salad, redskin potato salad that was one of the best i ever had ( I would buy just that from you for myself!) lil bacon wrapped dogs, taco dip n chips and plenty of cookies/sweets to choose from.
