The Apple Tree Family Restaurant

Great place..great food....really great people

Wasn't impressed my wrap. The one half was all lettuce and a tiny piece of chicken and the other half chicken. They told us they had a new cook today

My family and I went to the Apple Tree restaurant in Lancaster, PA earlier today, and it was a nightmare from hell, the food was over-priced, but good. Let me explain. Everywhere else was full in town, so we decided to go to this restaurant because we had looked for an hour and a half for a decent place to eat that was not over-crowded. We walk in, the hostess states, "Your waiter will be right with you." The first ten minutes goes by, and then still nothing, no place settings and silverware either. There was an old couple sitting in the booth behind us, and the waiter went to them and refilled their coffee. The waiter ignores us totally, and walked back to the old couple twice. My mom even waved at the waiter who just turned his back. Fifteen minutes passes. Nothing. Twenty minutes passes, and I said "Let's go. Let's get out of here and go somewhere else." The manager even walks by and ignores us as well, and says to the old couple "How are you enjoying your meal?" My mom gets out of the booth, and goes to a waitress on the other side of the restaurant, and she says "Where do you have to sit to be waited on?" and asks to sit on the other side of the restaurant. I wanted to walk the heck out right then and there. The service was so horrible that I had to get up and get placemats and silverware off other booths that were empty. Waitress walks by three or four times even a couple with the coffee pot and ignores us. However, she did get us our drinks and food, but had an attitude that was arrogant and acted like we were problem customers the entire time. The Apple Tree's food was overpriced, but good. This was the worst service I have ever received in my life, and we are never going to visit the Apple Tree again.

Ate with another couple and we got separate checks. The other couple used a coupon and because we sat at the same table they would not accept out coupon. If we got separate checks why would they not accept our coupon? Stop putting out coupons if you are not going to accept them. Won't be back again.

The Apple Tree has excellent Kona coffee!

My experience on 10/18/09 for lunch was, on a scale from 1-10, was a 0. I had an 8 year old with me - the waitress said that she would bring crayons - they never came. My order was wrong, it was corrected and the waitress never came back to check on us. The food was less than satisfactory - way too salty. We were never asked if we wanted dessert or anything else. To top it off, I was overcharged. Needless to say - I will not be returning to this restaurant. P.S. giving one star is being generous, but I didn't have a choice.
