I was drawn to Coffin Bar as they have clearly labeled and changing vegan options. I ordered a lion mane mushroom sandwich. I thought it was real steak and asked waitresses to double check as it was dark and hard to see. She said their mushroom is really close to meat, but it was vegan. A few moments later, she ran back to tell me they had served me steak sandwich with real cheese. It wasn't very busy, so it was disconcerting that such a big error could be made. I will not go back.
We live in Los Angeles. We were visiting family in Philly and came to Lancaster for the day on a Monday when most of the restaurants were closed. Someone steered us to The Coffin, and we had an excellent time. The food was delicious, and we were particularly delighted with the bao buns. They were just as good as the pork belly buns that were our favorite dish at an LA Asian restaurant that closed during the pandemic. Service at The Coffin was prompt and cordial, and the decor was a kick. Highly recommend.

I went with my vegan partner and some omni friends, and everyone liked their food at least a bit. My partner and I enjoyed mocktails. As a gothy group, we loved the vibe.
Food overall was good, although the toast on my tlt was soft tissue damaging. Tried to order drinks but every time I mentioned something the waitress told me they were out. So I decided to stick with water. Waitress wouldn’t give me a refill until my boyfriend asked for it. In fact at first I thought I was overthinking that the waitress really only wanted to interact with my boyfriend but then she did it again and he mentioned something about it. The aesthetic is cool but there was toilet paper all over the floor in the women’s bathroom and that just isn’t a vibe I can get behind. The music was a good choice but at a volume that make conversation difficult. Lashae P wanted to process my card at the end of the visit. There is a scan option for payment on the bill. She seemed intent on processing the payment herself. This was the most attentive she had been all visit. We feel she was trying to influence the tip amount. I opted to pay myself and she got no tip after the overall lack service I had gotten from her to that point.
Offers a gothic vibe with clearly labeled vegan options. Menu does change seasonally so check ahead of time
Delicious food! Tried the TLT (Tempeh Lettuce Tomato) and Eden's Apple (mocktail). Fun atmosphere with a Gothic decor. If I'm ever back in the area it will be a go-to location for sure!
This is a great place to get a delicious burger. Loved everything about this place. Great food, great service and great vibe. Loved the alternative music tooo.
Great drinks, great food, great decor. This was well worth the drive from York on a weeknight, all three of us enjoyed everything we got. Try the short rib sandwich, sweet potato gnocchi, and coffin old fashioned. you can thank me later. 😁
Great ambience, staff and food!

Very cute place! Lots of thought was put into the decor & it shows. The food was AMAZING 10/10. We got the hot honey brussel sprouts, salmon & steak frites. Staff is very friendly & the place is spotless. Will absolutely be back here when I am in the area!

Food selection was a bit limited, but this is a theme restaurant, and it sure nailed the aesthetic. I wish it was a bit bigger to have more on display. So amusing with all the props. I loved it.
I had the cheese steak which was ok. It was less about the food and more about the experience and the company you share it with. I'll be back there, perhaps I'll try something else on the menu. Not a whole lot of choices, but there's enough there that you'll likely find something appealing.
Definitely fit the Halloween vibe. I guarantee that's gotta be the busiest time for them. Staff was wonderful. Very polite and professional.

Loved the atmosphere, really enjoyed the food for a good price too. The cheesesteak was huge and delicious. I arrived around 2pm and it wasn’t that busy which was nice. It was unfortunate that we didn’t receive good service from Kevin. Never asked if we wanted another drink, anymore water, how our food was, never offered boxes. I was waiting forever and would be understanding if it was busy, but it wasn’t…
