Very disappointed with our lunch. First time here and unfortunately won't be going back. Had fish and chips..we opted for cod. Depending on the fish you choose, that is how you are charged. Anyway, 3 pieces of cod. Deep fried til almost black, the cod hadno taste. The fries were good. the tarter sauce tasted pretty bad.The cocktail sauce was great. The bill was 47.00 for 2 people.I looked at the fish they sell. The prices are so expensive. Not worth it. You can purchase fish for alot less at other fish markets and just as fresh.

This place is a great little seafood place. They know how to cook the seafood. There is also a seafood market there if want to get fresh fish and seafood. It's BYOB. But that's not a problem.

Excellent! We were searching for good fish and chips - we found it! Upgraded to the cod and it was perfect. My husband got the oyster po boy, also excellent. We will definitely be back.

The french fries were good, the red seafood chowder had no fish in it and the blue fish was very dry (overcooked) Its not the first time I have had the red seafood chowder that did not have any fish in it but i thought it might be a one off so I wrote an email to the owner (manager?) rather than write a yelp review. Unfortunately, it wasnt a one-off. Quality control seems to be the problem here.

A restaurant inside a seafood store. The food is excellent and soooo fresh. The menu varies, and all entrees are excellent. BYOB and your friends and have a great meal and a fun time@

The Fat Crab Cafe is my new favorite place for lunch in Lancaster. The counter service was friendly and fast. With several delicious sounding possibilities, we decided to try the New England Chowder and the Fish and Chips. Both were fantastic. Absolutely perfect for a rainy afternoon!

While parking space is limited, there are plenty of spaces nearby. The Fat Crab Cafe features a cafeteria-style casual dining experience where you order from the cashier/registrar and they bring the food to your table (return the dishes to the front when finished). Currently, they offer a $1 oyster special on Saturdays from noon to 4:30 (excluding December 23rd). The food was better than I remember from three years ago. What attracts me the most, though, is the current oyster specials. And I would love to go back to try their dinner menu as well.

How do people complain about this place! It’s like you’re in a beach town but it’s right here in Lancaster. The quality is top-notch and they don’t even beg you for a tip.

Tilapia is the worst fish for fish and chips. Use cod or similar fish. Clam chowder was aewsome!

You smell the fresh seafood when you get out of your car and it just gets better from there. Excellent, very fresh seafood that will spoil you. The crab tomato bisque and fish are outstanding. Very friendly staff that will guide you to something you like. Can't go wrong here.Parking: There are 2 lots, main in front and side to the left. But tight but usually get a spot. Street parking less than a block away.Kid-friendliness: Fun place for kids and a family meal inside or out.
