Ordered drinks which were all very good. I had the Cure All which was amazing.
Came for the 2:30pm tour on Saturday. Started promptly, with a dozen of us in attendance. Our guide was personable and interacted well with us. Her monologue was by rote, but peppered with her own quips and humor. Was very nice to see the process behind the end product, and learn the methodology and science required.
The tasting session was professional and conducted with fun banter between the host and the tour members. Did wind up with a bottle of the Burley Bourbon and the Lavender Lemonade to take home. All in all? A fun afternoon.
Booked an afternoon tour of the distillery. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon and interesting to learn about the distilling process. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. She answered all of our questions well and was very familiar with her script. That being said, perhaps the tour coins be updated a bit to be more of an interactive experience (use more questions to engage the audience) di the information is more interesting to hear and the audience is more engaged. The tour includes many samples (it would be hard to keep up and try everything you are offered). I wasn't a big fan of most of the alcohols, but some of the alcoholic lemonades and sodas are really delicious and go down easy. I purchased a t-shirt while there. It is the softest one I own and has washed up great! The entrance and parking were a bit tricky to find, so give yourself a few extra minutes. I did not have the change to eat or order drinks at the bar so I can only comment on the tour
The Thistle Finch was quite a find. They have their own distillery. They sell their own tees, which I am grateful to buy. It is also 1 of the oldest distilleries in Lancaster, which I was very grateful to check out.
Great vibe and atmosphere. Perfect for a night out with my husband within walking distance of our home. Enjoyed $2 tacos and my lemonade spirts. Super friendly and quick service. Lancaster is lucky to have this historically renovated beauty and spirits!
Only reason I’m giving a 4 star is because we didn’t get to try the bar or food out. We came for the tour/tasting and man was it AMAZING!! Luke was phenomenal, informative and funny. It is a little tricky to find so make sure you give yourself ample amount of time before you go.
Have not been to the location in person, however i bought some coffee whiskey at the fine wine pa store. I had high hopes but it to date has been the worst whiskey i have had. Nose of garbage bags and taste of swamp water. Sorry. I want good high quality whiskey to make a come back in PA. I want to come try some other stuff because i am curious if that was the best you can do or if was a fluke. I hope to be over some day just not sure i can convince myself it is worth the time or my money

What a fun place! We originally purchased a Groupon for a tour and TShirts but really had a great time here. The bourbon was better than Bulleit and while that is a controversial point of view for my bourbon loving kin, they use the same facility and it's smoother. The rum is magic with it's spice profile and is the 1st one I've ever tried that I want to drink by itself. The building used to be a tobacco drying warehouse and the atmosphere is electric. The bartender Nate was friendly and knowledgable! The food was great and the drinks inventive. Our tour guide Jim was full of great facts and had a laid back and happy personality. This is such a fun day trip!
Thistle Finch staff did a fantastic job helping us celebrate a special event with almost 100 people. Food, drinks and facility were all wonderful!! Our guests kept commenting what a great venue it was. We will definitely be back!!
If you are a whiskey drinker, Thistle Finch is a must. First, the building has that olden day charm, so you know the atmosphere is going to be right! Take the tour and you will learn some very interesting things. The food is great, the bar tender was awesome and the drinks, you will want more!
We had a great tour today(our second). Jim the tour guide so obviously loves his job and really adds a ton of knowledge and joy to the experience. Would highly recommend to people interested in the history of the industry or even just a tasting of Central Pennsylvania’s finest.
Good food, great atmosphere and a great bar tender. He was great handled drinks and food orders. The whiskey is good so is the food. Also don't hesitate to grab a bottle to go.
