Pretzel roll rocks. Love it. Give it a whirl for something a bit different. Beer dip sandwich delicious. Doing things a bit different here and I like it. Hard to compare with a typical cheesesteak..great stuff. No inside dining. Only outdoor dining and to go.

Unlike any traditional place. Everything is made in house and to another level. Bring out of towners to amaze them!

Different cheesesteak, mainly because of the type of meat used and what I believe is a home-baked roll. Absolutely delicious.

Jay's joint never disappoints. I have celiac and their gluten free menu is extensive and delicious. I've never gotten sick eating here. Their non-gf items are tasty as well! My husband loves the pretzel rolls. I recommend the Grandma Meatball Parm!
This place is the bomb-diggity! I got a huge burger on a pretzel roll, and it was pure comfort food perfection! My daughter ordered the chicken fingers with BBQ sauce, and that was also excellent! The food quality is amazing and the presentation is perfect! The hand cut potato chips are also worth mention, they are very good! They have really nice boxes they pack everything in, they seem to be environmentally friendly. We ate on the patio even though it was chilly outside, I think it added to the whole burger joint ambiance for me. However, the best part of our entire experience was the person who took our order. She was patient (we were newbies) and genuinely happy to see us! She walked us through the menu and helped us make great meal choices, all the while having a great big smile! I can't wait to go back...tonight! 🤪

Wow, I grew up in Boston and they have the best cheese steak SUBS I have ever had, moved to NY and they have the worst cheese HEROES I have ever had (except the Switch Inn), and I finally had a Philly cheese steak HOAGIE at Jays and it was really really good. I loved the shaved steak, it was cooked perfect, and the bread was soft. It was by far one of the best cheese steaks I have ever had and I highly recommend going to Jays Hoagie. The place is very clean and the lady at the order/pickup window is very friendly and polite. You will not be disappointed with Jays cheese steak and fries. I am craving one now and would have no problem driving two hours to have another one of their cheese steak. Awesome food, clean and friendly. Go try for yourself and I guarantee you will become a repeat customer.
Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free bread if requested
Parking: Free parking
Kid-friendliness: Employees are very friendly and kind

The pretzel cheesestake was pretty good. And the people running their food truck are great!

We hired the food truck for a birthday party. And will be recommending them to many people. The food and service were both outstanding!

Short version - unless you're looking for gluten free or celiac friendly food, this place is nothing special.
Long version - I've ordered out from Jay's a couple of times at this point, and consider this place to be pretty overhyped for what is really a small bit better than a pizza shop cheesesteak. Each time I've ordered I've gotten the same thing - cheesesteak w/ cooper sharp on a regular roll, and once the place messed up and I got the pretzel roll.
Appearance - the cheesesteak looked like it came from any corner pizza shop in Bucks. Cheese was melted good but not spread throughout, and mainly found on the bottom. For a place that has "Steak" in its name, the product itself looks completely average at best. When you have spots close by like Cafe Carmela, Curly's, and Berardi Bros putting out cheesesteaks that are incredibly next level, Jays leaves a lot to be desired.
Flavor/Taste - Again, completely average. The steak meat tastes like it's barely seasoned. Seriously, you have STEAK in the name of the place, and it's a phoned in flavor effort. The owner will loudly boast and suggest to get the "beer dip" sandwich, which replaces the standard cheese with some cream cheese concoction, as if that is the genius solution that would take your tastebuds to some sort of Parkland flavortown. Why anyone would want to replace gooey cheese with the texture and consistency of cream cheese is beyond me, and the fact that you don't see any other cheesesteak place offer this just tells me it's not the brightest of ideas.
The standard roll is fine. The pretzel roll wasn't really my thing and really comes off as yet another gimmick to cover up the fact that the steak meat lacks flavor.
The boneless wings are low key the best thing on the menu though. If they changed the name to Jay's Wings and Steaks, they'd probably be on their 6th franchise location and the owner would be counting money on a beach somewhere.
Value - comparable to other pizza shops in the area, with the possibility of it being higher if you go with extra toppings or modifications. The gluten free prices seem to be pretty high when compared to the non GF items, but I guess that's going to be the case when the owner drives to Vermont for GF rolls vs partnering with a local small business bakery.
Overall, this place and owner seems to be a champion of the celiac/GF community, and that's great, but I feel like if this place didn't offer those options, the overall Google rating would be 1-2 points lower than it currently is. However, if you're looking for a great cheesesteak in the Lower Bucks area, there are options that make this place completely irrelevant.

Jays has a top tier steak. The pretzel roll gives a unique spin on a Philly cheesesteak. I’ve recommended so many people to try this spot since I first had it at their food truck and found their brick and mortar location. I would say they are in my top 8 steaks in the tristate area. Can’t wait to go back and grab another steak!
