I ordered a cake for a birthday party and was not disappointed! The 12" round cake was HUGE and could definitely serve 35-45 people as stated on their website.
I chose the Peanut Butter Symphony flavor and it was delicious. The combination of chocolate cake and peanut butter mousse was perfect. I can't wait to try some of the other flavors.
The staff were very friendly and even carried the cake out to my car to help me load it (so I wouldn't drop it opening the door).

We got our wedding cake here and it was absolutely delicious! Vanilla cake with lemon icing and raspberry filling. The owner also delivered the cake to the venue which was around Hershey area. Thank you so much!

I bought a coconut cake at Christmas time last year. We didn’t eat it all and decided to freeze some of it. I just got it out of the freezer and thawed it out. The cake was just as moist and delicious as the day we bought it. I didn’t even have it an airtight container. They make an awesome cake. You can freeze it and thaw it out and it is as fresh as the day they make it.

I ordered 3 dozen mini cannolis for Christmas. I asked the lady, how do I store them, because I wasn't using them till Christmas Day. (Picked up on a Saturday, Christmas was Monday). She said ,in the fridge. I told her, through past experience, they get soggy in the fridge. She very rudely said, well don't put them in the freezer. That was it, no other suggestions, nothing.I had to google, how to store them. Needless to say, they were soggy, on Christmas. They were ok,but soggy and not very sweet. Besides, the lady being rude, cannolis weren't the best tasting. Will go to another bakery, next time.

Byer's has been a staple for getting cakes for special occasions from over the years. They've made a cake for my high school graduation, one for my graduate school commencement, and just recently a gorgeous cake for my friend's baby shower. I even had tried their cupcakes! The service is immaculate - they will email and/or call you regarding details on how you want your cake to be decorated. They've always gotten back to me in a timely manner and I never had to wait long for a response. As long as I live in this area, I will continue giving Byer's my business! It can be pricey, but I promise it's worth it!
Don't know what happened. I came here 8 years ago and thought this was it, the diamond in the rough, the only good bakery in Lancaster country. The cake I had was the best tasting, like no other. Soft, moist, perfect texture. It was like a real professional pastry chef made it. The frosting was light, not disgustingly sweet, it was almost like whip cream. I've been told that's how real butter cream is. There used to be these beautiful flaky pastries now it's all nothing but the same old PA dutch stuff. Wayyy too expensive. For the old bakery items I would have paid, but not for any of this stuff. I'm suspicious they don't even bake things here. Cake suspiciously seemed like it was frozen. I don't know what happened to this place but used to be so good, now gone with the wind.
They seemingly can make anything!
