“As a regular who remote works here up to 21 hours some weeks, I find the negative reviews inconsistent with my daily experience. This is the best-run (and cleanest!) Starbucks I’ve visited nationwide. The baristas are genuinely friendly and attentive, and my drinks are consistently well-made. Great atmosphere for remote work.”

“When I go to Subway, I like this particular location. Facility is always clean, well air-conditioned, people are friendly and the sandwiches Just taste a little fresher. HOWEVER this company has joined the list of food franchises that gouges their customers. $14 for a 6 inch sub, bag of chips and a small drink is too much. They then try to steer you towards their app with better deals as they collect your personal data. There is a local deli down the street named Oliver’s for the same price or less. You get a bigger sandwich at the same quality. I’m guessing subway has more buying power than Oliver’s. I have successfully boycott at McDonald’s and Chick-fil-A for these reasons. I think Subway is next on my list. Again, this is a great restaurant and I enjoy it, but I do not know how much longer I am going to pay these prices.”

“Good local place to get Chinese food near the house. My wife gets the sweet and sour chicken combo and loves it. This is the only place she will eat Chinese food. The service is fast and always done in the time they tell you it will be ready for pickup.”

“I've been coming here for a long time and it's pretty good for what it is (a McDonald's). Recently it hasn't been as good, but I don't blame the management, I blame the lack of investment from a portion of the teenagers they have to hire. Some of them are great (I mean that), but some of them know that this is just the next job before the next job, and no amount of management motivation is going to change that.

Today I had multiple issues. The first one was the cleanliness of the tables, so I told the (very) young woman by the counter and she looked very annoyed then just went back to standing there without saying a word to anyone. I cleaned my own table with a wet napkin, which I had planned to do anyway. The second issue I had was that my food was made wrong, so I told the manager. She immediately apologized and made it right. Then from my table I'm pretty sure I heard her calmly questioning the young man who made my sandwich, who BTW was very nice when he brought it out to me earlier. He wasn't rude, she wasn't rude, I wasn't rude, it was just something that happened that she fixed for me and then apparently addressed.

An argument could be made that better management/ownership would improve the situation, but I disagree. Just like at my job, I know that there are certain people that are unmanageable and can never be motivated. I don't think that was the issue with the person that made my food, I think it was just a mistake that was made and then addressed. That's why after years of eating here pretty regularly, I'm still giving it 4 stars, because I still see management fighting their daily battle. From day to day you never know who you're going to get, and it's been good way more than not.

I have eaten meals at some of the finest dining restaurants around the country. What makes this different? One it is caring from service to ownership. Second, they are culinary chef's and its shows in the taste as well the presentation. I ate vegetables that I usually leave on the side, because it was hard to leave food on the plate. We usually have leftovers, but honestly the portions we appropriate for the price. This is not kid's place. This is a great place for adults to enjoy a meal that is the Best in Berks County and probably beyond. I have been to 48 states, and we usually go where the recommendations are. If you live anywhere near this place and you want a meal that you won't regret, please pick up the phone and call. You will never be disappointed. The best duck I have ever had.
