Was disappointed with the quality of the food. The rice was rancid and the seafood tasted suspicious. Seriously?, you want to say that Chinese people can’t taste apart good rice from bad rice? This leads me to believe that they are aware that the rice is old but still sell it. And if they are saving on rice that is cheap then do you think they save on the seafood that is very expensive? I think that is where the suspicios taste came from on my seafood.Just read the other reviews and now i just hope i will be ok.Very disrespectful to their own costumers.

My normal Chinese was closed on Sunday and I decided to try to eat here and it was very disappointing and ended up getting sick, I vomited everything I ate and had diarrhea and also my hubby. My 3rd year old didn't eat anything from here and he is fine. I’m 100 percent convinced we ended up with food poisoning. Please do not eat here unless you want to call off of work because you’re severely sick. The food didn’t even look appetizing and was nothing like our chinese restaurant.

I had never been there and was looking forward to getting some General Tso's Chicken with fried rice. You either get white or brown rice, no fried. The chicken was uniform sized popcorn chicken like you get from a grocery store. It was very doughy. The sauce tasted nothing like Tso's. More like a lo mein sauce. For $15 I've had two bites. Extremely disappointing and below average

If you're starving this place will do. But if you enjoy flavorful foods, this is not for you.

This is still a carry out only place. No plates or dining utensils provided. Everything is packed and ready to takeout.Host was nice to provide me a washroom although it was closed out for guests I think.Food is tasty, do try their Thai options and ask for a little spicy.

I have only had their chicken and steak hibachi meal, and it was so disappointing. The entire meal had a taste of raw meat and was very off-putting. Even with yum yum sauce smothered over everything, it still had a horrible taste. They even messed up the rice as it was hard and it big clumps. I have only ordered once and will not be back to this location. I'd rather pay more to go to China Palace and know that the food will be great and not taste like raw meat.

The food was so NOT good . Ordered general tso, still don't know what part of the chicken it was or if it was chicken . Pieces so small couldn't taste or get a jist of what it was. Got chicken on a stick it had NO and I mean NO flavor or seasoning and it was dry and hard. It was an embarrassment to chicken on sticks from everywhere. I wanted it to be atleast ok but it wasn't. NO MORE VISITS FROM Me.

I’d like to start this review with a non-biased opinion. Asian Star serves the mouthwatering, delicious, delectable food products I have ever eaten in my entire life. You may be seeing this and thinking, “There’s no way he’s right. He’s totally biased!” I understand why you might think that, but there are many different reasons that I will provide as to why Asian Star is the pinnacle of Asian Restaurants. Asian Star’s prices for many different food items are a lot better than their competitors. Asian Star sells their Beef Lo Mein for two different prices. Their small is $7.95, and the large is $11.95. When looking at competitors' menus, they sell theirs for 13.00. One might think that the one priced lower must be worse quality, but that is simply not the case. Asian Star is a highly rated establishment with tons of loyal customers that can’t stop coming back for their tasty sustenance! Other similar restaurants have worse ratings (by stars) and have a lot more customers rating them the bad stars. We interviewed the future shareholder of Asian Star and he had some insightful information to give us. “it’s just better”, says their future company leader. We also went out in the area, and we pulled aside some civilians to question. Upon inquiring about Asian Star, their faces lit up with absolute glee and couldn’t stop raving about how much they were satisfied by the food. Another noteworthy quality of this hidden Pittsburgh gem is the customer service. The employees are very kind, compassionate, and they really care about their customers and the quality of their food. Other similar types of restaurants do not have this inviting factor. At Asian Star, you’re more than just a customer, you’re family. The location of this establishment is another great feature of it. It’s right in the heart of Leetsdale, near the highschool. This makes it a great spot to hit up after school, when you’ve acquired the munchies. All of these phenomenal factors make Asian Star the perfect place to get your food. I just have one more question for you, why don’t you go down to Asian Star?Vegetarian options: They provide a wide ranger of different Vegetarian options, making the menu perfect for any person who may not be able to eat meat.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly!Parking: There is always a vast amount of open parking extremely close by.Wheelchair accessibility: Perfectly accessibile to wheelchairs.
