“I have been to sushi restaurants all over America, in some of the wealthiest places to live, vacation, and dine. There used to be some OK places in greater Harrisburg that were passable, then practically all went to pot -- or else my standards increased. I tried a new place in Camp Hill tonight that looked great, with great reviews. Uggh--I will never go back. Sushi Express, on the other hand, NEVER disappoints. Don't be fooled by the generic name, or because this is a kiosk-type restaurant that is an island in a mall, or because it's in the food court. I have eaten here 100+ times. This is, hands-down, the place I look most forward to to get sushi. Fancy? No. Elegant? No. Crazy wild rolls that dress like peacocks, but are all sauce and circumstance, no substance? No. This is for serious sushi eaters who want fish that is the freshest every time, is always great tasting, and with an experienced, personable owner who is funny and you like to see. “Always delicious food and great service from Kanagawa. Their sushi bowls are really tasty and made to order. I just finished day 3 of my shrimp fried rice! I ate all the shrimp on day two, but the rice was still tender and delicious today.

“Maybe I just came at the wrong time and ordered the wrong dish — I was the only dine-in guest on a cold weekday evening. The chicken teriyaki was tasty, though served as one whole piece instead of bite-sized portions. The seafood udon, however, turned out quite different from what I expected.“

“Stopped here for Hibachi at my sons request. We had never been here before but we're in the area and it was close to us. We are so happy we stopped in! By far the best Hibachi and Sushi we have had in a long time! We will definitely come back, and make the drive to eat there again! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! And not only was the food given the rating of an 11 by my son. Everyone was nice, attentive, and gave us awesome service!!“

“Great Hibachi, sushi and Japanese BBQ restaurant. We've introduced many of our friends to the self grill bbq side of the restaurant. A beef or pork combo is enough to feed two, approx $30. Double date and you can share both combos. We used to come here for primarily sushi because it's so fresh. My other siblings like the show at the Hibachi. I'd recommend calling ahead if you have a big group so they can accommodate for the service.“

“I’m usually not one to write reviews but hopefully this will save someone time. We came on a Sunday, around 5pm and were only the 2nd family dining in the sushi bar area. It took about 30 minutes just to get one plate of sashimi. Our 2nd sushi roll took about 10 more minutes to come out and then by the time the 3rd roll was ready, our waiter was outside smoking and it just sat there until he finished his smoke break. We were given one napkin and had to ask for chopsticks. To say we were disappointed is an understatement.“
