We celebrated our wedding anniversary at the only place that makes you feel special while preparing and serving incredible starters, memorable meals and tasty libations while the Owner goes table to table to greet his guests. WOW! Thanks again Log Cabin, see you soon.
The food and drink are accurately described . They're well executed. Venue is old and reflects noise. Service is tops. Steak and oysters are expensive. The rest is reasonable.
We had the best Easter Sunday meal and experience at the Log Cabin! It was our first time dining there, but certainly not our last. Everything as first class from the delicious cocktails to the bread, the soup, the entrees and the dessert!!!
My husband made reservations online for New Year’s Eve for a group of 8 at 5:30 He received his confirmation info So the day of New Year’s Eve he called to confirm his reservation like he does to any restaurant he makes an reservation The hostess told him he does not have one and he told her all his information and she said sorry you don’t have a reservation and hung up on him We were very upset by all this
Dinner was incredible! Staff was friendly. Speed of service was just right. Crab legs were top notch.

This is a must go for a romantic dinner. It is a historic place with exposed logs from the original cabin. There are 12 dining rooms and was originally a speakeasy! The restaurant can be described as casual luxury, it is beautiful! We sat in front of a beautiful fireplace!
The food is simply amazing and this was one of the best meals we have had in a long, long time! The staff treated us as if we were royalty. All courses were not rushed which added to the romance that we experienced! You need to save room for desert there were so many great choices!

Went to LC for a special Thanksgiving dinner, since my son was home from college. Made the plan only a month in advance, so had to take one of the last serving times. That was fine, but like the Doctor's office, the later the appointment, the more behind schedule they may be. So we waited a bit before being taken to our table, then waited pretty long until first contact with our server. I was cognizant of the fact we were near the end of a long day for the restaurant staff, but several tables which seated after us were dealt with more promptly. Food was everything you would expect, delicious with very generous portions and aesthetically pleasing in every way. When the clouds broke, several tables in our room were affected by sun in guest's eyes without the ability to lower shades to accommodate, I understand the rustic appearance, but I heard another table mention that was their Only complaint. Otherwise atmosphere is great, artwork all through the place, tasteful music quietly playing throughout, we had a mostly excellent experience. Once we (eventually) got started, service was on point, couldn't have ask for anything more. Would absolutely return for another special occasion

Thanksgiving dinner very ordinary, turkey tasted fine til I found an 8 inch piece of rubbery yellow turkey skin on my plate…..do people actually eat that? The veggies were rock hard , the dressing was a totally bland blob of bread without any sign of celery, onion, or seasoning all that yumminess for $85.00 per person no dessert included, not even a cup of after dinner coffee. I have enjoyed this restaurant for almost 50 years but no more….never again. The manager said it was my fault for not asking for another plate !!! Really, who would want another plate of this stuff? The owners are kind people. They treated us well around the holidays. I spoke to the son and co-owner who worked with us through a silly mistake.
We have visited several times in the past year for special occasions or just a quiet night out and really enjoyed ourselves. The rotating cocktail menu is always great with some classic features. Leah took care of us in the bar room a few times and was very attentive and informative. Everything we’ve tried has been excellent but we always make it a point to order the French onion soup and I LOVE their blackened salmon. Usually we are too full for dessert but this time we tried the petite tiramisu and it was incredible. Perfect portion for just a few bites to finish an excellent meal.

We originally came here for a special celebration. I thought the service and atmosphere were absolutely fantastic with live music and a super attentive waiter by the name of Edwin. The food on the other hand did not impress me whatsoever especially for how costly it was. The mocha rubbed steak was hardly seasoned and the mushrooms in sherry were flavorless. I was very underwhelmed considering that this restaurant is in the heart of Lancaster county where the quality of beef should knock your socks off. I will say the iceberg wedge salad was awesome but definitely ask for a sharp knife in order to cut up the thick cut bacon. Also, the blue cheese dressing was out-of-this-world. Luckily, we got the Osso Buco pork shank entree and that was spectacular. We were planning to take our friends here but thinking we will go elsewhere for much better cuisine.

The Log Cabin has been a consistently excellent restaurant for a long time. It's one of our very favorites. Our most recent experience, on 11/21/2024, can only be described as "perfect".
The atmosphere has always been great. It's a unique place, tucked away in the Lehoy Forest, a beautiful wooded area in Lancaster County. The food is absolutely wonderful; Chef Steve is an expert with so many types of cuisine. I'm particularly fond of the steaks, they're always done just right. This most recent visit, we also had the most amazing Jalapeno corn bread, with the flavored butter was heaven! My wife had the pheasant special and it was delicious. I had the mocha rubbed 8oz. barrel cut rib-eye. Also delicious.
Again, a perfect experience. Our server was Christine, and she was absolutely the best. We were there for my wife's birthday and there was a very thoughtful sign on our table waiting for her, with a nice chocolate as well. And Chef Steve thoughtfully gifted us the most amazing tongue and cheek appetizer. I can't even describe how melt-in-your-mouth perfect it was, along with the best Parmesan risotto I've ever had.
Also, the bar is a really nice spot for a drink and/or something to nibble on, and the lounge is comfortable and relaxing. The drinks are always excellent as well.
You just can't go wrong here. We highly recommend the Log Cabin.
