Easter Sunday menu was delightful, with great appetizers, soups, and entrees. The fireplace added a "touch of home" to the dining experience. The waitstaff was excellent, as always. Lillie made our holiday meal special with her attentive service. The Log Cabin has always been our holiday destination. It will always remain so.

This was our first time at Log Cabin. Beautiful setting. Greeted by very friendly host. Enjoyed a few pre-dinner drinks in the bar. Bartenders and locals very friendly and drinks were delicious. Seated for dinner on-time. Dining room not very crowded, but waited quite a while to be greeted by our server. Server came over and simply asked if we were ready to order. She did not ask to review the menu or specials or even if we wanted to freshen our drinks. We ordered aged ribeyes and was talked into medium rare. We noted that we like our steaks pretty red. They came out medium at best. Flavor was good, but very disappointing in how they were prepared. No offer of any vegetables. Fries are standard with the steaks apparently. Great atmosphere with live music. But meals a little disappointing, especially for the price.

Everything was wonderful. We had a great meal catching up with friends we hadn't seen in a while. The ambiance was cozy yet elegant. The service was top-notch and at an even pace. The food was first-rate. We also had a nice conversation with the owner who stopped by our table. Overall a great experience. Definitely recommend.

Had the most amazing experience eating here with my girlfriend. The ambience and historic feel was just off the the charts. We had the Shrimp cocktail, burger sliders, steak, and the seafood chowder, all fantastic. The deserts were great as well, we had tiramisu and crème brûlée. Or server was attentive, kind and answered all our questions, and gave a tour around the premises.

We visited for our anniversary! The food and drinks were amazing and the service was impeccable! Highly recommended for a fancy night out, especially for a celebration! They sent us home with a bud vase and flowers that decorated our table and a special little card!

Great food and dining experience

Overall great place! Immediately shared the experience with distant relatives as a must stop place while traveling or staying a few days. Everything my wife and I tried was great. Thanks again to our server for the great recommendation's!

A classic white table cloth fine dining restaurant - the atmosphere and the clientele steer distinctly older, which suited my wife and I fine as it brought back our childhood memories of going to celebratory dinners with our parents.Service started off rocky with the hostess trying to seat us at an undesirable table in a high traffic position then pushing back when we requested a change (there were many other open tables) - not exactly a warm welcome. Our server was friendly but distracted; the service doesn't really match the price point (that is, it has room for improvement). The food was top notch with a couple of small exceptions. I could not recommend the pork belly or the lamb rack more. My wife's pasta was slightly underseasoned but she enjoyed the rest of the dish. The Warm Soft Pretzel & House Made Chips was fun but a little out of place and awkward for a fine dining look (huge plate that's overloaded, like you might find in a sports bar). They should cut the portion in half or even 2/3rds and just keep the price the same - easy money and would fit in better with the experience. My wife and I are non-drinkers and we weren't all that impressed with the non-alcoholic beverages, though I appreciate that probably speaks to the history of the restaurant and the older crowd (compared to a place like Passerine that skews a bit hipper and younger where you can tell they put some thought into their mocktails for people who don't drink). I'll call that a wash since it's probably not fair to go to an alcohol forward restaurant and then be annoyed by their non-alcoholic beverages. It was a little strange that they had trouble coming up with a bottle of bubble water when we asked, I've never been to a restaurant that didn't have plenty of Perrier or something like it stocked. All told, after a slightly rough start service wise, I found it to be an enjoyable meal in an intimate atmosphere and a lovely place to celebrate with my wife. It's really more 3 1/2 stars but making guests fight for a table at the beginning is a bad start so 3 stars!

It's hard not to love this place. We dined in the bar area next to the fireplace which had great atmosphere. We were celebrating an anniversary and it was nice that they signified this with a small arrangement of flowers and a place card. We were able to take the flowers with us, which will help us remember the evening for more than just one night. We started with a seafood bisque and the French onion. My wife is a self certified french onion connoisseur and is always in search for something that is as great as the french onion at the Dobbin House in Gettysburg. This is the first time in many years I've heard that this was the closest to that standard, so a long way of saying the french onion was fantastic. The cabin in the woods cocktail was excellent if your an old fashioned fan. It comes to the table in a small bottle and both the bottle and glass are smoked. It felt like it payed homage to the restaurants speakeasy days from the 30's. We both enjoyed some of the steaks, the Filet and the 21 day dry aged Ribeye. Both were very good, probably the best steaks we've had.

We've always enjoyed coming to The Log Cabin. After 50 years of eating there, it is simply one of the finest places to eat. Food is prepared and presented beautifully. The portions are generous. The decor is like no other, you are not packed all together. Excellent service. There was a trio plus singer playing in the lounge and they were great. It's nice to hear standards played so wonderfully. The owner comes around and checks in with each table. We'd be hard pressed to find another place like The Log Cabin. It's quite special in every way. So glad it's only ten minutes from our home!!

In town on vacation and wanted a nice dinner. The ambiance was very nice and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Service was great as expected. We had the charcuterie board and pork belly as appetizers and they were not that great, not bad, just not great,in my opinion. I would pass on those next time. The filet was excellent! Very good and cooked as ordered. The king crab was also very good. I would definitely dine here again.

Best dinner I have had in a long time. Definitely coming back the next time I am remotely close. seafood was delicious.beef short rib was perfect, love that it was a small plate and not an entree. The osso bucco is my favorite, I have never had one comparable. Fiancee got an amazing dessert and ordered another to take home. We even bought wine glasses for souvenirs because they were so perfect. We were seated in the middle of one of the 12 dining rooms, which was a little uncomfortable at first, but Shelby made us feel so welcome and was helpful picking a cocktails. Our server Christine G was also amazing and so hospitable. Thank you for having us.

This restaurant has always been a favorite of ours for 30 years. And although it's been quite some time since we've been there, ( covid ruins everything ), we were in the area and decided to stop for a cocktail.Obviously the individual at the bar who served us is not quite up to speed. I get it it's 2024 and standards have changed. But I have to say, a restaurant with this kind of history, I would believe the staff should be required to look more presentable. Multi colored and unkept hair and a limited knowledge of common drinks won't keep us coming back.Maybe we'll wait a month and give it another try.

Ribeye was dry and overpriced. Vegetables were too al dente. A bit pricey. The rack of lamb was actually lollipop lamb chops and they were very good. Scallops and muscles were good, the seafood soup was good too. The beef tip appetizer was excellent. tenderloin was good. Even though the food was good we won't be going
