Sofra Mediterranean Restaurant

After passing this place so many times over the years my family recently went for dinner. We have never had med food before. I was pleasantly surprised. We went on a Tuesday night and were welcomed by owner /chef. Good size portions at a reasonable price. Food was tasty.

Horrible experience here. Went to pick up food after a good 40 minutes and when I arrived the ONE worker, who was a very old man was yelling at me through a tiny window from the kitchen saying he -WASN'T GOING TO MAKE THE ORDER, HES TOO BUSY AND IF I WANTED IT I COULD WAIT AN HOUR OR TWO- despicable service. Place was dusty, carpet smelled of milk.

Don't be dismayed by location & appearance, food is great.

The cold salads are phenomenal. Absolutely delicious. Spice is on point freshness on point I really enjoy Sofra. The lamp was incredibly good everything down to perfection. We love it.

One of the best cups of Turkish coffee I’ve ever had, also ordered lamb chops that came out really tender and mixed well with the rice and peppers!

This restaurant felt a little fancy and like home at the same time. ❤ The food was delicious and made to order. The seating was comfortable and the atmosphere was very homey!

Very good lentil soup. Eggplant was yummy and fried cheese was good to. There usually is only 1 older worker who cooks and takes food orders so keep that in mind, plus he has a heavy accent. I usually only order pickup. So far, only pleasant experiences and deliciously seasoned food. Place is usually empty so don't let that deter you.

Overall bad experience. I was charged twice. Got the wrong order. Was hung up on. Had to fight to get my money back. And the food wasn’t good. If I had liked the food I wouldn’t have cared do much about getting the wrong order. Idk what it was I received in turn for what I had actually ordered, a gyro platter, but the meat tastes like steakums, the frozen sheets of steak they sell at grocery stores. It’s very outdated and it was empty both times I went. They need some restaurant rescuing

The uncle who owns the business works alone. I feel sorry for you. It must hire an employee as soon as possible, otherwise it will run out soon. Since he is unemployed, he tries to do everything on his own, but he cannot.

We called to place an order, but it was a complete disappointment. The employee or owner who answered the phone was extremely rude. A customer could be pushed away this much; we had an order of about $100, but we canceled it after this rudeness. We're also glad we decided not to eat there, otherwise, the disappointment would have been doubled.

I’ve spent my whole life driving by this place thinking it was abandoned and I am thrilled to say it is not and it is very much so a thriving restaurant! I walked in and was greeted by the cook who I believe is the owner and he waited on us and was so sweet. It made me feel like I was dining in someone’s home. Definitely authentic, cannot wait to go back! Don’t let the outside deter you, it’s a hidden gem!!
