We have been dining at Brasserie Louis for a few years. I wish we had found it sooner.
Experience - the reception and table assignments are good. The atmosphere is great, great bar, we prefer to dine bar side but the other dining room is nice as well.
Service - the service is always very good to excellent.
Food - All of the food is very good.
Overall, given the experience, the value is good.
Wife, brother in law wanted a frosty one after we ⛳️ at bucknell..Got a bar seat on a Friday night cool old school bar....piano player..hard working staff ...with a menu that goes from old school diner to fine dining...bitchin place check it out in downtown lewisburg, pa.
Two of us had the pork chops and they were pronounced delicious to the last drop. The other two of us are vegan. We shared three items: the beet salad, a vegan soup, and a mixed vegetable stir fry. All three were good enough, but not really delicious, especially for the high prices. Still we appreciated having something on the menu we could eat. And we loved the cocktails.
We were greeted on time for our reservation. The restaurant was very empty for a Sat night 6pm. I didn't see a coatroom so we hung coats on back of chairs. Drink menu was a taped up brown manilla folder that looked well used. We had bourbon drink and it came with a cup of tiny ice cubes, surprised it wasn't 1 big rock. Stone cold killer had a rock & good. Grilled romaine medge salad and shaved brussel sprouts salads were very good in flavor and portion. Grill Pork Chop and Braised Short Rib entrees arrived approx 2/3 through our salads. Wow, way early I remarked to server. Server left our entrees on the table and apologized for arrival, yet did not offer to keep warm as we finished appetizers. When 25% of my meal remained server verbally presented dessert menu. Again, early. Can I finish without being rushed? The restaurant is empty! At meal's end we were presented with a plastic tray for the bill which includes a note that CC's incur 3% fee. (Not a leather billfold).
The most beautiful and exquisite food I’ve ever had. Just amazing!

The pictures of the chicken and waffles look disappointing. Please lets see a good dish of this and post it. I get this dish everywhere on my travels and i want to see a c&w with love here in Central PA.
The food was incredible, the drinks were delightful, the service was perfect. You won’t regret a delicious experience here!

Had a fantastic dinner here! The atmosphere is cozy and classic, and we were fortunate enough to have some live entertainment on the bar side. We ordered the smoked trout baguette and pappardelle as appetizers- both phenomenal with very generous portions. For our entree we both had the steak frites, which was fantastic, melt-in-your-mouth good. Lewisburg has a bunch of cute little pubs and restaurants, but this is probably the best dinner we've had in the area!

Three of us, on one side of the table, all ordered the scallops. we couldn't be bothered to talk once the food arrived because the dish was so delicious. Aside from comments about ingredients, we ate in respectful silence. Amazing food, wonderful service. Make sure you give yourself time... you're not going to want to talk while you're appreciating your food! Thank you, Brasserie Louis.
I LOVE this place. I can't really afford to eat there, but i had their vegetarian burger once and it was Ah-may-zing. Have been for beverages or comedy a couple

Ok, but limited menu, not French at all. Fries could have been from McDonald's and re-fried. Food was ok quality and taste.

The bar area is the closest thing to a real pub in Lewisburg. They also have a variety of Scotch whisky.

Duck 2 ways was excellent.
I made a reservation a week ago, when making my reservation the phone connection was terrible, it kept going in and out. I was able to make the res and the woman took my credit card. She never said the policy on canceling, never said anything other than I need a credit card to hold the reservation. Unfortunately, my daughter is sick and we can no longer travel to Lewisburg this weekend, I called more than 48 hours in advance to let them know. I was greeted by a very rude woman on the phone ( the same person I made a reservation with), she stated they will have to charge me per person for canceling 48 hours in advance ( if they would have answered their phone I would have let them know 72 hours before) She then HUNG up on me after I said well I am disappointed but I guess there is nothing I can do. I couldn't have been nicer. If the food or atmosphere is anything like the woman on the phone or the unclear policies then I would stay far away. Nothing but COLD and rude.
