Chef Maher- Appreciate what you do and your efforts last night with our food= amazing! Wait staff were amazing- Great vibe!
Very good food. Very good service. I wish i could remember her name but the young blond waitress was very pleasant and charming. Only downside was that several of the choices on the menu were unavailable, but i ordered one of the specials ( pork ossobuco) and it was delicious and a nice size portion.

A wonderful fine dining establishment in Lewisburg. Meals were thoughtfully prepared and perfectly cooked. Presentation was very professional. Beef bourguignon and wild mushroom ravioli were both amazing choices. Service and food was prompt with no awkward waiting periods. Drinks are BYOB. Understand that this is a small, intimate experience, and the chef obviously must shop weekly to prepare local, fresh dishes and rely on what is available or in season. Thus, some dishes may be sold out or unavailable - but we were happy to select other options. A gem in Lewisburg - highly recommended. This was our first visit, but won't be our last!

Saffron is a gourmet gem in Lewisburg. It is great for special occasions, celebrations, and anytime you desire delectable dishes. The food is outstanding! The cuisine ranges from Mediterranean, Italian, French, and American. We enjoyed the escargot, mixed greens salad with figs and goat cheese, lamb lollipops, and filet mignon. The portions are generous and artfully presented. Chef Maher is personable and friendly. He makes everyone feel at home. Reservations are recommended. Be sure to BYOB. Bon appetit!

In our opinion THE best restaurant in Lewisburg. The chef owner knows how to cook. We think the food rivals any restaurant in NY or Philadelphia. If you haven’t tried Safron you are really missing something special.

Arrived at 7 pm 1/4/2025, waited for an extended time to be seated. Finally, a gentleman came and put me at a table by myself closest to the door, I guess because I was not part of a group. I waited again for an extended amount of time and he never came back so I left. I will not be returning.

Lovely space. Tables can be close if all are full, similar to European style. Food is delectable. We had the mixed greens and the grilled romaine salads, both were delicious. Crab cigars are good and the appetizer special of brie with figs was amazing. Paella and Branzino were perfect. Salmon was reported to be cooked to perfection as well. It's BYOB, so remember that if you want wine. It's a pricey menu but so worth it!!! Just go. (If you are available for The Feast of Seven Fishes, it is definitely worth your while!)
Vegetarian options: If you don't see a vegetarian option, talk to the chef. He will make something for you. There is usually at least one entree option plus appetizers/salads.
Parking: Parking is free on the street in December.
Kid-friendliness: Friendly but not a lot of kids' foods.

Friends of ours recently took my husband and I to this restaurant for dinner before a show. The atmosphere was quaint and comfortable, the service was extraordinary and the food was out of this world! For appetizers, the table had Burrata, Crab Cigars and Beet Salad. We had a variety of entrees between the 4 of us - Lamb Chops, Wild Mushroom Ravioli, Tuna Steak with Seafood and Pasta Norma. All the dishes were perfect and the prices were reasonable. If I lived closer I would go there often!!!

Was kind of surprise to see so many good reviews on this place! We walked past Saffron a few weeks prior and it was closed but looked at the menu and wanted to try it out. Sorry to say it was not very good. I called to make a reservation, come to realize it’s only open 5-8pm! We were coming from out of town so did our best to arrive by 7 per request along with a request to pay cash. Who really walks around with cash anymore?! So we got there and thought the place had a cozy atmosphere but tables were super close together where we felt we had to whisper.
We were given menus and our waiter told us there were multiple items sold out which didn’t leave us too many options. We went there hoping to try the paella and that was only being offered as a seafood stew with no rice to accompany it! Kinda strange no? I ordered the sea bass special that came with mussels and shrimp. The meal was not even hot, it was over cooked, the shrimp was in the peel and tails on. Too much work to eat in my opinion. No bowl was given for our shells. My daughter ordered the seafood stew and the waiter(who had never worked there before tonight but was fantastic) said the chef would serve it with rice. We received the dish with no rice! He took the plate back to the kitchen and a very small amount of rice was put under the stew. My husband ordered the filet mignon and it was his response was “it was alright!” My other daughter orders the beef bourguignon and that was pretty good. I’ll leave on a positive note…the octopus salad appetizer was excellent but unfortunately don’t think we will return!

Great food, but I don't think we will be going back. Fine dining prices, but it didn't feel like a fine dining experience. We're spending around $75 a person for dinner, and they charged us $3.50 for seconds on bread? I could see if we asked for beyond two helpings of bread, but I've never been charged for bread at a restaurant before other than Cracker Barrel. They are also BYOB, but they don't really have much of a social media presence or advertising, so we had no idea and missed out on being able to enjoy wine with the great meal.
We were the only folks in the restaurant at dinner time on a Saturday, and the atmosphere was a bit uncomfortable. There was no music playing so it was dead quiet with the exception of being able to hear everything the staff were saying to each other, including their frustrations with reservation cancellations/the lack of guests that night.
They had high chairs available but no diaper changing station in the women's bathroom. The bathroom was a bit gross for a fine dining restaurant as well. The soap dispenser and toilet paper holder were both empty, but they had some on a little table in the bathroom right next to their toilet bowl cleaner.
