I stopped in over the Memorial Day weekend. The place was very nicely remodeled and decorated but only had 3 slices of pie! How can you call yourself a pie shop and be out of pie at noon on a holiday weekend??? Like I said very nice inside and out but was out of pie!?!?!

After a late summer afternoon of feeding the fish at the spillway, we stopped at Twin Pies for the first time. Wow! The selection of treats to choose from was a surprising and mouthwatering variety of brownies, cakes, cookies, scones, cheesecake, and of course pies. We settled on a slice of berry pie, one slice of peach pie, and got a cheesecake to go. The peach pie was creamy and delicious, the berry pie flavorful and the perfect balance of tart/sweet. The crust is a dream and I wish I knew how to make it. The service was friendly and prompt, answering our questions with patience as we hem-hawed through the many choices. We sat in the front and people-watched while we finished every last crumb and talked about our great day. Then we perused all the cute gifts in the shop. This pie palace should be on everyone’s radar as a local and regional gem worth the trip.

Kid-friendliness: Any kid would love this place. Low key vibe with nice seating
