Vegetarian options: There are plenty of things on the menu that would serve for a vegetarian’s delight

Dietary restrictions: Basically everything is made with the conscientious thought of dietary restrictions

Kid-friendliness: They are super kid friendly. That’s waht food is all about comfort, and bringing people together. They have high chairs, and will go the extra mile with their kids menu, and cute little cups. Catering to the children.

Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp to accommodate

A true “old school” Italian restaurant with incredible food, friendly and knowledgeable staff, historic atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Don’t miss it if you’re coming through northeast PA!

First thing I noticed was when we sat down every glass on the table was dirty.
The service was not good, one waitress was nice. But the other was very rude and seemed like it was a bother for our table to even be dining there. Mind you, we were a large party so I understand it can be a bit much. But we called a bit ahead of time to make sure they were ok with us coming and they were.
Then after a couple baskets with a few pieces of bread (mind you we were a party of 13) they came and said that they ran out of bread for the entire week. Which is crazy because I asked a different waitress and suddenly she shows up with more.
Took about an hour and a half to even get the food. The food was not great at all and extremely overpriced. Nothing tasted fresh.
Then after that we got the check. On the menus it said with parties of 10 or more there is an 18% gratuity automatically included in the check, which is fine. We don't mind. We had a couple separate checks, and when we got them the gratuity we were charged was 20%. I will never go there again. I can't believe I spent 90$ on a mediocre meal for me, my husband and my 6 year old. Will never go again

Food was not fresh, terribly overpriced. The only good part was the martini. Friendlys would have been better and had more authentic Italian food.

Dietary restrictions: My mushrooms came in a puddle of butter

Parking: Small, outdated dining room. Banquet room

Kid-friendliness: No kids menu

Wheelchair accessibility: Doors did not seem wide enough

Went there for a 95th birthday party. Salad was dry, and there was very little dressing. Chicken wasn't very appetizing. However, the roast beef and mashed potatoes were very good. Wait, staff was excellent and accommodating.

Didn't know this place existed. Looked up local places to eat and it was close by. Tucked away at the end of Charles st. In Luzerne. Parking on the side and two doors up is a full parking lot. Nice interior. Clean, decorated nicely. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, talked with the owner for awhile. Was very well taken care of. No empty glasses or plates left forgotten.
Found out they have a banquet hall that serves 80 or so. The restaurant is over 100 years old was family run until recently but they're using all original recipes and desserts are made in house. Food service was quick and very good. Large portions. I had the specials of the day, my husband had pasta with meatballs and we ended it with delicious creme brulee. The prices were very reasonable. We will be returning with the family.

Andy Perugino's Restaurant is a cozy Italian restaurant located on Charles Street in Luzerne, Pennsylvania. In addition to Italian dishes such as spaghetti and fettuccine, one can also enjoy a steak, prime rib, and a variety of seafood plates as well. The staff is very friendly, pleasant, and well-dressed, adding some charm to the establishment.

We arrived on time for our Saturday evening, 6:30 reservations, although I don’t think reservations were really required. There were about 15 tables available, with about four being occupied. The dining room was quiet with an empty bar in the corner with a sports program silently playing on the television placed above the bar.

For starters, we ordered a salad and chicken tortellini soup, which were uninspiring. The salad consisted of a cucumber slice, a couple of cherry tomatoes, onion, iceberg lettuce, and a smattering of shredded carrots, and the dressing came in a plastic cup. The soup was very bland, and the cheese tortellini was a bit soggy.

On the other hand, the entrees were pretty satisfying. The lasagna came with a rich tomato sauce, and my mouth was filled with creamy cheese with every bite. The eggplant parmigiana was also exciting. Again, the sauce was delicious, and the eggplant very tenderful and flavorful. The entrees came with a side, and we each ordered angel hair pasta with marinara sauce. The marinara was also flavorless, and we found ourselves transplanting the pasta onto our main dishes.

The homemade desserts were very pleasing. The chocolate peanut butter pie was decadent and silky smooth, and the lemon meringue pie was deliciously tart and the curd light and fluffy.

Overall, the hits overshadowed the misses. The comfortable atmosphere was accented by the staff’s effort to please, which made for a welcoming experience. It’s worth giving Andy Perugin’s Restaurant a shot.

Have been there twice in the last month. New Chef and the food is amazing. The soups were so flavorful. The portions were very big and pricing wasn’t bad. The owner is so nice and the staff are so friendly! Definite must try!

Went here for the first time in several years. Food was amazing! My wife had the penne pasta with olive oil and garlic and it was absolutely delicious. I had crab cakes with baked potato and french onion soup. The crab cakes were the best I have ever had. The baked potato was cooked to perfection and the French onion soup was to die for! Our daughter raved about the panko shrimp also. Others in the group that went with us all said the same thing the food was amazing. They even had a flatbread pagach because it was a Friday in Lent. Highly recommend this place. If you haven't been there in several months or longer by all means give them another shot because they are fantastic!
