Unfortunately once a 5 star experience. Food and service only fair. Not worth the cost

Took my mother in law here for Valentine’s dinner with the rest of the family. Overpriced, unimaginative and low quality food served by an arrogant and aged staff. Will never go back.

Very cozy experience! We had a lovely table by the fireside and fab service and food!!! Such a nice time!

We were celebrating a birthday and it would have been nice if the servers acknowledged it. The servers were ok but not as good as we hsve experienced there in the past. They basically brought the food and drinks and did not check if we needed anything. We had to really try to get their attention to get drinks. We love the location and were seated in a lovely place by the fire. It is a very pretty setting.

Fantastic service and great atmosphere. The crab cake was a 10 out of 10 and the beef Wellington never disappoints!

Great atmosphere and great food!

We love table 22 in the winter, with the fire burning. It is a wonderful setting to dine with friends and the food/service is wonderful,

Great first time! From the front door greeting to the server Brett, it was perfectly obvious that the people there care. I kitchen staff provided an excellent meal and perfect portions. Not to little to leave hungry but enough to clean the plate with room for dessert.

I would give a zero star if it was available!

We were there recently for our company luncheon and it was disappointing, all because of the servers, the food was good. The servers were passing around food and I noticed they deliberately missed a table or two, because they looked in our direction and turned away. When I mentioned it to one of them, she wasn't very happy! They were going around with unsmiling, hostile faces. If they didn't like their job, they should quit! I think male servers would do a much better 'professional' job! Even when my colleague asked for water, she deliberately refused to bring one for her! Why is the management keeping these useless servers?

Hidden gem. Authentic. Friendly service. Recommended.

This was second experience at the General Warren, a year apart from each other. We were there for a private event. It began with butler passed hors d'oeuvres served in the downstairs room. The room is lovely with cozy fire places and indoor fire pits however it warms up very fast once filled with people. Hors d’oeuvres included shrimp cocktail, Asian chicken skewers, cheesesteak spring rolls, and sweet pea hummus tarts. All delicious.

Our dinner was served off the bar in a private room. We had a choice from 5 first courses, 5 second courses and several desserts. I opted for the French Onion Bisque (a clever take on French onion soup), braised filet carbonara and a raspberry mousse to finish. I also tried a taste of their well known snapper turtle soup. I was very impressed with all of the food.

This year we were guests in the General Washington suite. Loved the room. The inn keeper was lovely. We had a simple breakfast consisting of pastry choice with coffee before our departure. I would have liked a more hearty breakfast given how delicious the food was at dinner. However, it is not a deal breaker for a return visit.

Thanksgiving turkey dinner at the restaurant was two thick slices of deli quality turkey roll and some overcooked sides. Disappointing to say the least.

Great place with really good food. Took all the stress out of Thanksgiving preparations. Servers and staff were wonderful. Turkey dinner tasted great and there was plenty of food
