My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the General Warren. The food was delicious and prepared to perfection, the service was excellent and the ambiance perfect for an evening dinner. Our son had the Beef Wellington which was cooked as he ask, medium well. My husband had the new chicken option which he enjoyed. I had the vegan option with mushroom protein which has the taste, look and texture of beef. I'm not a beef eater but this dish, with cubed sweet potatoes and black beans, was very good. Our server, Colin, did a good job.

This is a lovely, very comfortable restaurant ...there's always the feel of many regular customers. Because the restaurant has many dining rooms, as busy as it was, we didn't have the noise and frantic pace of a busy holiday dining experience. Food and service always dependable...

Our Easter dinner was delicious. We had the lamb special (very generous portion) and the Halibut was cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed the snapper soup as an appetizer and the lemon curd dessert. We will be back again.

Sat in their covered patio area which was nice. Chairs aren't so comfortable without propping up several cushions at your back. My old fashioned cocktail was just OK, actually had too much ice in it. My lobster roll was small, not much flavor to the lobster, the pretzel roll was very good. The 1745 sandwich was very good as were the side of onion rings. Maybe the dining room would be a much better experience.
What a cozy evening we enjoyed on your covered terrace celebrating my birthday! We had such a wonderful attentive server, delicious food, the added bonus was the. Vocalist/ guitarist! Thanks for singing Happy Birthday and the cheesecake was phenomenal!

Thank you for a wonderful meal this evening ( Sunday) the early seating was very nice which allowed my 82 year mother in law and wife to get seated and relaxed. The staff was attentive including the hostess. But the meals were all spot on. And included Snapper soup, Ceasar salad, and Halibut. While my wife Jade the crab cake mom Had the filet. All done as ordered. Perfect desserts and a nice drink to cap off the meal. General Warren Inne had been one of favorite restaurants for over 30 years!

A 1776 experience. Food presentation excellent. Enjoyed every bite. Steak, burger meals a culinary experience. Let me not forget dessert and cocktails , General Warren would be proud.

Everything here is just okay. It’s priced as if it were higher end though. Many of the meals are classic “high end” meals from the 80s and 90s, however they aren’t done well enough and do a disservice to the old style cooking. Not well seasoned, not cooked correctly, and relatively bland. Nothing stood out as “bad” other than the Cesar salad which was obviously pre mixed and sitting in the kitchen waiting to be plated. On the other hand nothing stood out as “really good” either, and for me that’s not a win. Also, the parking lot is filled with fancy cars parked exactly how you would expect their aging customers to park.

We were told about this location by a friend that lives in the area. This is one of the nicest meals we've had in the Philadelphia area. The food was spectacular, the service from Gwen was beyond amazing, and the location was absolutely stunning and beautiful! Will be back again when in Pennsylvania!
