I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. I had an absolutely unacceptable experience with them in Feb 2025. I placed an order directly with the owner and she agreed to deliver the food to my son's group home – a residence that includes several disabled adults and the hardworking staff who care for them. Not only was the food never delivered, but she also didn’t bother to inform me. No call. No message. Nothing.

It was only the next day —after I reached out—that she responded via text to say she hadn't delivered it. It was a complete failure of responsibility and basic decency. The residents and staff in the home were left waiting for food that never came — an unthinkable situation for any care facility.

I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and puts systems in place to ensure that commitments are honored or, at the very least, that customers are informed in a timely manner if plans change.

Indian cuisine is one of my favorites,
but this place was just okay. In my opinion, there are much better options out there.
There wasn’t a great selection of curries or desserts and unfortunately some of the platters on the buffet were cold…

Tasty food in all the dishes. Mango lassi is very good from a non mango lassi fan. It is not just sweet but with a touch of tangy.

The lunch buffet is absolutely fantastic! I have eaten at many Indian places on the east coast and this one is great. I do usually go for the buffet, and this one really shines. A lot of Indian buffets have dishes that taste similar, but each item here is really flavorful. Chana Masala I usually pass on, but wow this one was popping with flavor. And a spicy mix of herbs and onion - kind of like an herby dry salsa - haven't seen this before but it was a lovely addition.

We had guests today and went to Himalayan Restaurant for lunch (Sunday). The food was flavorful and delicious. The spice level was just right, enough to get the flavor of spices in various dishes. The Garlic naan was very well done. They had Saag Paneer, Potato and green fenugreek leaf dish, Paneer and sweat pea curry, goat, chicken, rice, Idli. The best part was the nice salad bar which is a rarity in South Indian buffets. They had arugula leaves and other greens. They also had samosa and bhelpuri. They had 3 types of deserts and India masala tea plus Mango lassi - all of which was included in the buffet price. The tables had tablecloth, wine glasses for water and metal cutlery. The restaurant was run by just 2 people and the lower overhead reflected in the well-priced buffet. Guests were invited to place their used plates on a cart, which was not an issue for us. All in all, we look forward to coming back with friends in the near future.

It was a worst experience for me and my family. The food is tasteless and there was a biryani rice, it’s spoiled but still they offered that biryani rice. My best suggestion is, those who are looking for South Indian food please don’t go to this place. As a South Indian I am not suggesting this place. Thanks .

Loved the experience. Sooooooo much of veg options at premium quality, great taste and at an affordable price.

Absolutely horrible. $70 for three and none of the food was good. None! My 10 yr old daughter tried everything and was disgusted. We found it gross. Mother visiting from India and hated it all also. Haven’t ever experienced food this bad. Food was cold. Didn’t clear plates from our table and we were the only people there. Couldn’t have a worse experience. We should have our money back. Unbelievably bad. Worst restaurant experience ever!

The best service at any Indian restaurant in Malvern/ Fraser. Don't be hindered by the humble interior. That just means this restaurant has stood the test of time because the food and service are both top quality. Every dish we have ordered has been excellent, and when we catch the buffet, it's consistently delicious food.
