Food is always on point. No frills BBQ spot. Food is served quickly. The house BBQ sauces are both very very good. My favorites are the pulled chicken sandwich and the brisket. I feel like you can always judge the quality of a BBQ joint based on how the brisket is cooked and I have to say that Jimmy’s makes a very good brisket! Their cornbread is always a good option. I love coming here for lunch!

I’m a bbq fanatic and have eaten it all across America - especially down south where it’s the best! I also went to culinary school and worked in high end restaurants. I truly had high hopes for this place. The brisket was out of the world delicious!! I loved the sweet potatoes they weren’t swimming with seasoning to cover up the potato flavor - to me they were perfect. The Mac and cheese was pretty standard that was a hit. However, that’s where to good ends. The ribs were awful they didn’t fall off the bone you had to rip and tear just not a good cook on them at all BUT flavor was really really good. I ordered mild sausage but they gave me sweet (I’m not a fan of sweet so I didn’t care for it but if you like sweet sausage it probably was real yummy), the chicken was flavored very well and tasted pretty amazing but it was kind of dry. The beans seemed like they sat out for too long or something. Really thick and weirdly sweet. I personally wasn’t a fan but if you like your beans in a thick sweet sauce i can see how they would be good. I just didn’t care for them. As for the service it was a little weird. Not my preferred vibe from a staff. I did not feel welcome at all but there was a nice kid working the line and he kind of saved the experience enough for me not to just cancel my entire order. Jimmys is worth a shot if you like bbq - especially their brisket!!! but personally it was not for me.

Brisket dinner plate was awesome. Very tender and smoked to perfection. Jimmy and I both loved the vinegar BBQ sauce. The corn salad and whipped sweet potatoes were excellent.
Vegetarian options: Baked beans, coleslaw, corn salad, Whipped sweet potatoes and other items to.
I keep hoping that Jimmy’s BBQ improves but my 5th and FINAL delivery order tonight was very disappointing. I ordered a half rack of ribs, spicy sausage sandwich and side of cole slaw. The ribs were utterly flavorless. No spice was anywhere to be found. No sauce on them whatsoever. Fat wasn’t rendered down enough IMHO as well. I ended up throwing out the Cole slaw after one bite. Tasted off, cabbage was beyond soggy and had a strange tang to it. The spicy sausage sandwich was very mediocre. I keep reading all of the rave reviews and I keep trying it over and over but get the same result. Best BBQ on the East Coast? Not in my top 100. I hope you re-examine your recipes, cooking methods and actually taste your food. Because right now, it’s unedible.

I honestly want to like this place more. I can tell the crew there puts their best foot forward but just always fall short. Beat was very dry and lacking flavor. Service was run of the mill, and the atmosphere was just so bland and outdated.
