Food is always on point. No frills BBQ spot. Food is served quickly. The house BBQ sauces are both very very good. My favorites are the pulled chicken sandwich and the brisket. I feel like you can always judge the quality of a BBQ joint based on how the brisket is cooked and I have to say that Jimmy’s makes a very good brisket! Their cornbread is always a good option. I love coming here for lunch!
I’m a bbq fanatic and have eaten it all across America - especially down south where it’s the best! I also went to culinary school and worked in high end restaurants. I truly had high hopes for this place. The brisket was out of the world delicious!! I loved the sweet potatoes they weren’t swimming with seasoning to cover up the potato flavor - to me they were perfect. The Mac and cheese was pretty standard that was a hit. Brisket dinner plate was awesome. Very tender and smoked to perfection. Jimmy and I both loved the vinegar BBQ sauce. The corn salad and whipped sweet potatoes were excellent.
