Their buffet choices were phenomenal. I loved their shrimp, dragon dumplings, eggplant dish, and taro cake. Everything I tried at the buffet was delicious. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because the bathroom was kind of dirty and the soap was only filled with water so I felt unclean after washing my hands. While visiting family in Philadelphia. we took the opportunity to dine together as a family (6 adults and 2 young children) at Su Tao! We were Introduced to it by church friends who were vegetarian when we lived in Mechanicsburg, PA. While the food was ok, I think the price of $37 per person for the buffet was absolutely too high. I suggest you ask about pricing BEFORE you dine! It’s definitely a small “mom and pop” operation. The place was very crowded when we arrived. The service was ok; but the guy (host) at the front was not especially hospitable!

This restaurant is incredible! The food is exceptional and authentic as it gets. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the staff are very friendly. There are so many unique options on the menu; I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of them. Sutao Cafe is a total gem for the area and is a must-try.

You will find some of the best vegan food on the East Coast at this restaurant. Sue is an extraordinary cook and makes the best ginger salad dressing you will ever taste. The buffet is served on Friday evenings, and Saturdays & Sundays for lunch and dinner. The selection is huge with many original dishes and will take many tastings to discover all the delicacies. For approximately $27 per person it is a bargain. It includes salads, soups and a multitude of appetizers and main courses as well as a dessert and you can order vegan ice cream as an additional item. If any dish is picked through or run out mention it to the servers and they will get the kitchen to refill. A slightly more expensive buffet is served on special holidays and occasions and has an assortment of very special dishes added to the regular buffet. There's also an extensive a la carte menu and once again you may have to go many times to experience all the different wonderful options. Some highlights include the excellent corn chowder, tasty cumin 'lamb' skewers served on a stick, the sauteed string beans with garlic and chili peppers, and our favorite: A wide noodled lasagna with tofu, string beans and hot peppers. The service is fast. Take out is available, order online about 30 minutes ahead, can take longer on weekends. Parking is easy and free in the parking lot outside the restaurant.

We have been coming off and on for years. This time we came and it was just me and my husband. We got the buffett. Was not told it was a special holiday price for Halloween, really. It cost us almost $80. Will not be back. If you have to charge that much without saying anything and there was no signs for a different price. Its poor business practice.

I’ve gotten food here for many years, but always takeout. My dine-in experience was pretty good, but not great. I don’t feel I need to share specifics, because I like to give places the benefit of the doubt.
The food was really good and it was just so hard to decide with so many different vegan options to choose from! My friend and I decided on the tofu & eggplant in garlic sauce, general tso’s tofu, veggie lo mein, and edamame. It was all very good and I would definitely get takeout from here again in the future!

Luke warm crusty food at buffet. Don’t have some of my favorite items anymore
Me and my family have been coming here for at least 10 years and we have decided to never return. It cost my family of 4 over $100 to eat at the buffet for a poor display of options and food. There used to be better options and food used to taste better. And the cost went up and the food quality went down. We weren’t even full when we left. Had to get more food after we left. After all these years of going, the owner doesn’t even remember us. My husband also heard the cook coughing and spitting in the kitchen. I’m so sad to write this review of the only vegan buffet we have in our area but I hope they see this and provide better food if they want to charge $30 per person. This place gives veganism a bad name and we know they can do better than that stale flavorless food. Would’ve asked for money back but we just decided that this was our last time. Sorry Su Tao but that’s just not fair.
I've only taken out. Very good vegan Chinese food.
