I want to start off by saying that I never thought I would ever be treated in such a rude way! I love to try new restaurants and taste different foods but my experience this morning wasn’t so great. As I entered The Classic Diner with my two children, we followed the sign and immediately went to the host stand. One server looked at me and walked away while the manger named Jamie (Asian lady) came up to me and asked, am I here to pick up a take out order. I responded with no. She proceeded to ask would I like to sit. I answered yes, we would like to sit down and eat. She said okay, you can go have a seat. So my children and I went and sat down where there was enough room around table and chairs. A waitress walked up to the table and repeatedly said that we have to check in. I was so confused because the manager named Jamie seated us and that should have been communicated amongst their staff. Moments later Jamie (the manager) took our order. As our food arrived, I realized that there were only two sets of utensils. So I decided to allow my children to eat their food while I eat the bacon with my fingers. At least until I can get a server to bring me another set of utensils. As I took one bite into the bacon, I realized that it was not fully cooked, so I immediately stopped eating it and put it back on the plate. I sat and watched several waitresses walk pass my table as if we were nonexistent, asking the other table were they okay, did they need anything. That really hurt my feelings because I couldn’t understand why our table was being avoided. Eventually I was able to get one of the servers attention and ask for silver ware and also let her know about the bacon. I was told that this waitress name was Grace or Gracie. She said okay, in an annoyed way and immediately walked off. 5 minutes later, the waitress Grace returned with the same bacon that I bit into. This time it was overly cooked meaning tuff to bite and I still wasn’t given any silverware to eat my food. As looked around the restaurant I noticed that we were the only African Americans that were in there. So I went to the bathroom to cry because I didn’t want my children to see me crying. I just couldn’t believe that this was happening to me. I pulled myself together and went back to sit down. I saw Jamie (the manager) and walk pass and I was able to let her know that I needed silver ware. As she gave me the silverware she overheard me say that now my food is cold. She did ask if I wanted her to heat my food up but I immediately said no and I asked for boxes to go. As she brung the boxes back, I asked her for the check. When she brung me the check, that is when I decided to let her know about this horrible experience. As I told her about the waitress name Grace, Jamie (the manager) responded and said well maybe she is having a bad day. I said that is still unacceptable and does not give her the right to treat anyone this way. I told Jamie (the manager) about my food now being cold and the bacon being sent back at overly cooked, tasting like rubber. Jamie (the manager) proceeded to well I offered to heat your food up and plus the waitress brung you out fresh bacon. I decided to let her know that the bacon that the waitress Grace brung back to my table wasn’t a fresh batch. It was the same exact under cooked bacon that I bit into. Jamie (the manager) responds with, oh I am so sorry that this was your first experience here and then afterwards, she walked off. I paid the bill in cash and I will NEVER ever go to that place again. I pray that with this experience they learn to treat others better and communicate effectively!

Bacon was good, the rest was meh.. very very expensive for what you're getting. The service was bad. The hostess was grumpy and rude. We had 3 different waitresses and 2 forgot things, had to remind them multiple times. One dish came out as we were ready to leave. Wouldn't recommend.
