Great Oktoberfest! Chef and Manager have extensive German culinary and hospitality experience, so outstanding food selection and preparation. Curated beer (and, as usual, wine and cocktail/mocktail) options. We were regaled with flawless accordion music throughout, featuring polkas, waltzes, and German folk tunes. Please make this an annual tradition!
We have no village so date nights are very few and far between. My husband planned a surprise outing over a month ago that involved a People's Light performance for a Saturday. At 2pm on the Thursday before Fern & Fable cancelled our reservation due to a private event. This short notice is unacceptable, especially for a restaurant that STRONGLY encourages reservations. I will never give this restaurant another dime of our money.

The crowd size was perfect for a buffet. The food was delicious. The servers were very nice. Full bar was great. Comedians were very fun. Especially Missy. The other two should have read their audience a little better. Will definitely go back for other events.
The food was served as a buffet and was excellent. The chicken and beef were melt in your mouth tender. The beverages were a little pricey. The tables where we ate and sat for the show were pretty tiny and we had to be careful not to light the menu on fire from the candle. We had a great view of the comedians and the show was very entertaining.
Comedy Night was GREAT, starting with an outstanding summer buffet, craft cocktails / mocktails throughout, and wrapping up with three stand-up performers from Roux Comedy including Missy Hall, who could make a rock smile!
What a great way to spend a hot summer evening: In the coolness of the Fern & Fable, listening to outstanding musicians, enjoying a Frog & Toad mocktail with Chef Scott's BBQ chicken and corn bread!
We attended Swing Night at the Farmhouse and had an amazing time! The ambiance was incredible, both inside and out. Manager Richard was phenomenal, explaining the history of People's Light, detailing the artistic work, and sharing fun facts. We had such a great time and highly recommend this event to everyone!
A beautiful setting with a lovely staff! We enjoyed the special event (swing dancing) and everyone was kind and helpful. My husband even left his wallet by mistake and the waiter went out of his way to find him and ensure that it got back to him safely!
Thursday evening music is back, launching with the wonderful April Merion and a smashing summer picnic buffet including flavorful BBQ chicken and cast-iron pan jalapeno cheddar cornbread.
We were at the Thanksgiving buffet and it was excellent so when you offered the Easter buffet, we signed up. It was wonderful. We have two grandchildren and they enjoy sampling food they may not have tried before. Our group of seven; five adults and two children thoroughly enjoyed the Easter buffet.

This was the Easter brunch everyone wants. Welcomed by a giant bunny, a gracious host and attractive decorations, we were shown immediately to our table. We were in a small room, which was perfect for a group of 70-somethings, one of us with a hearing aid. The buffet covered almost every possible offering. There were vegan and lots of vegetarian options, as well as a classic ham carving station. There were things for staid eaters and people with more adventurous tastes. Who knew mashed parsnips were so good? Guacamole with frittata - terrific. The blueberry brioche bread pudding was heavenly. The hot offerings were hot without being dried out. The bacon was crispy. The varied salad bar items were fresh and crunchy. There was an egg hunt for the children (not very challenging, but seemed to be lots of fun) and plenty of food choices for them. The wait staff were on the spot and incredibly friendly. The only, and I do mean only, potential problem was the location of the restrooms. For someone looking for a great brunch option - this is it. People from toddlers to the elderly all seemed to be having a good time and there was lots of lingering over meals and enjoying family and friends.
Don’t expect them to honor your reservations. As other reviewers have said we made a reservation several weeks out. A week prior we were called and told our reservation was cancelled due to an event they’re hosting. Now a week before our night out we have a babysitter booked and the night off, but no reservation. Not enough notice to get a reservation elsewhere.

Wow, what an experience. From the minute we walked in the door we felt like family. The ambiance, food and drinks were incredible. The manager, Richard, went out of his way to check on us to make sure everything was right. If you are reading this Richard, there is no need because the service was awesome!

My best friend was visiting from NY and we decided to have dinner before seeing the play. The buffet was laid out beautifully. My favorites were the shaved Brussel sprouts salad and the roasted vegetables. Actually, they were my second favorites, if there is such a thing. The short ribs melted in my mouth. The shrimp Wellington was a wonderful surprise to my taste buds. There was also a complimentary glass of wine included in the meal. Yes, we saved room for the dessert too. We loved the ambience of sitting by the fire. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. For a cold, rainy night, it was a lovely way to spend the evening. Would highly recommend.
The Drag Buffet was sooo much fun! The buffet dinner was delicious, and the show was spectacular! Eric Jaffe, Biddybee and Quinn Possible had us roaring! Thanks for wonderful Valentine's night.
