Terrible terrible service. Made to feel like an in convenience rather than a valued customer. Food ok, coffee lukewarm. Wouldn’t return.
I’m disappointed with this place. The food taste bland, and the service is poor. Coffee is lukewarm at the best.
Food is good. Staff not too friendly at all.
Ever since the old cook Todd left this place is not been the same. The new manager has failed to show up and have this opened on scheduled times. Her attitude is horrible and I'm not sure why the owner keeps her on except for he's afraid of change. The current hours are losing them business to all the other places in the area. Go take your old manager's advice and start running this place like you truly want to succeed in a restaurant business. The place definitely needs updated but there's so much potential here for Gourmet quality food with fair pricing. This place currently has neither.
Just had an amazing time. Service is amazing the the coffee is to die for. Love the homey feel of the cafe. Can’t wait to come back when the weather is nicer and enjoy the patio.
Parking: There is parking out back if no spaces are available out front.
The food was amazing and the staff was very friendly and patient with me being it was my first time of many to come. Definitely coming back
I love coming down for lunch or breakfast! Food and service is always fantastic!
I love the Brickhouse Cafe, I order from here often on my lunch when at work. Everytime I go in the service staff is amazing, Joanie is a fantastic waitress/coffee bar tender. They have quick service and good food. My favorite is their smoke house burger. You can't go wrong with bacon on a burger?. Typically i modify mine by adding chipotle sause and i highly recommended it. My burgers are always cooked perfectly. They have a full coffee bar and daily flavored and regular drip coffees. All of this, along with a large supply of baked good. My only wish is that they served soup more consistently.
We gave this place three chances. The first time was during Covid and everyone was struggling so we were patient. The second time it was busy and the wait for food took an incredibly long time for breakfast at a cafe but they were understaffed. They served people their food that came AFTER us. I asked to speak to a manager and was told she was at the pool. (Summer time visit)This third time, my husband and I walked in, no one greeted or acknowledged us. The “hostess” walked by us twice and didn’t say anything. We had to stop her and ask if we could be seated upstairs because there wasn’t any seating downstairs. She just said sure. We waited for 5 mins, looked around, spotted a coke can and other trash on the floor and decided we give up. We can’t support this local business. Mill 72 across the street is the way to go in this area. It’s sad because Brick House had a cool vibe. The owner needs to do some serious reflection, figure out what is going on with her business model and maybe get a mentor because this place has potential.
Cozy, warm, relaxed place for lunch, with character and history, AND a yummy, varied hot lunch and beverage menu.

The older lady that appeared to be running the place was rude. There is no other way to say it. Miserable and rude.On a positive side the waitress was very pleasant and the food was good.GO ACROSS THE STREET TO MILL 72. You will be much happier.
Went in for breakfast with my wife and our 3 kids while we were there for a soccer tournament. No one else was in the establishment, so when we ordered it simple breakfasts (pancakes / waffles / eggs / toast) we planned on eating outside. There were 2 other people outside sitting who were also waiting for their food. I asked how long they’d been waiting and they said “over 30 mins.” What!!? It was breakfast. We waited, and waited, and waited…and finally had to tell them to change the order to go. Way too long of a wait and the worst part: yep, you guess it, the food was terrible. Breakfast food that is bland is terrible in my book. My recommendation is to avoid this place and go across the street to the Millworks cafe (it’s just closed on Sundays!).
Mediocre burger and California wrap, which took over 35 mins to get - no thanks. The waitress apologized but didn’t seem genuine about it and the “chef” took forever. On top of everything my fries were either old or taken out of cooking too soon, the inside of the fries was cardboardy/bland. I have to assume all the positive reviews are related to the breakfast because this food was average at best.
First time we were there for dinner. Both the shrimp bowl and the maple salmon were excellent.
Was excited to try this place, but the unfriendly unprofessional staff ruined it. They looked like they were just there to hang out and talk. We ended up having a great meal across the street at Artifice Ales and Mead. It is a shame for this place, no one is managing the staff here.
