First: this is a private club, and we were there as guests of a member. That said, there is a liberal guesting policy, and there are some public events.I love when I can get to the Liederkranz, and I've been visiting as a guest for years, even when they were in the old location on Water Street. The food is exceptional German cuisine, and the beer a broad selection of German classics, American mainstream, and craft, well kept and cared for. There are German specialty liquors...
It’s always a fun time at the Liederkranz! People are typically very friendly and welcomingThey have beer from Germany (Späten, Hofbrau, and some others - depending on the event.The food is always amazing. I highly recommend the homemade pierogis and any of the meat dishes.The parking situation is difficult sometimes, but there’s not much they can do.As a non-member, it’s a little pricey during public events, but that’s how they raise funds; it’s definitely worth it...
Liederkranz is a great Club to join especially if you are a native German or someone who has been there and miss the culture.If you live in the Lancaster, PA area it's very nearby. I drive from out of state to visit because I have family in the area. It's become a great family hang out and of course we enjoy the beer, the food, and the ambience.
