If you think this subway can’t get worse than soggy bread and limp lettuce, let me tell you, they’ve perfected the art of being useless. I showed up at a supposedly open store (hours are on door and online) only to find the door locked. So far fine, mistakes happen. But then the employees just stood inside like statues watching, doing absolutely nothing, while I jiggled the handle, praying for a hint of acknowledgment. Went to my car, returned 10 minutes later to the same employees glancing up at me menacingly, leaving me standing in the cold looking like an idiot. If this is how this location treats their customers, I’d rather starve than eat in this restaurant!

Subway, 1 N. Main St., Manheim, Sept. 22. Fail. The person in charge did not demonstrate adequate knowledge of food safety in this food facility as evidenced by this noncompliant inspection. Observed box of bread sticks in the cooler and plastic marinara bag cut stored open with no covering; corrected. Food employees observed not wearing proper hair restraints, such as beard covers. Food employee observed changing tasks that may have contaminated hands without a proper hand-washing in between. Food employee observed donning single-use gloves without a prior hand-washing. Observed frozen meatballs sitting at room temperature until no longer frozen to the touch, which is not proper slacking procedure. Observed deeply scored cutting boards located at the service counter area has not been resurfaced or discarded as required. Observed pan with salami, a refrigerated, ready-to-eat, time/temperature-control-for-safety food in the WIC, was date-marked by the facility, but was beyond the seven-day use and requires discarding. Observed deli meats a refrigerated, ready-to-eat, time/temperature-control-for-safety food, in the WIC, was not compliant with date-marking by being labeled with a discard- or use-by date of no more than seven days and requires discarding; discarded. Observed rear door to the outside, located near walk-in freezer of the food facility was being propped open. Temperature measuring device for ensuring proper temperature of equipment is not available or readily accessible in refrigerated equipment.
We’ve gone here probably dozens of times, but we will be looking elsewhere.
There was just one young man behind the counter, which was fine, it just took awhile. He put our order together well.
When I showed my coupon for two foot-longs for $13.99, he let me scan it and told me that it would be $20.83.
When asked, he said that the bacon was extra? How so? When it’s a chicken-bacon ranch.
He told me that I had ordered; the “special” chicken bacon ranch, instead of the number 20. I tried to get him to show me where that was on the menu, things got awkward. He then muttered that it would be $14.83, and walked away.
Flagrant upcharging, and a willingness to try to screw the customer if given the chance. 🫤

So I suggested to my husband to get a protein bowl , elite bacon ranch. I was horrified for him because when he opened it up sitting on the top with tons of dressing (which was disgusting) was accompanied by this big pile of uncooked bacon. That's going to get somebody really sick! Also there seems to be a communication gap as one time i didn't get a fountain drink on account that the fountain soda machine was down. I was trying to understand as they weren't offering me anything in place of it except for water I can get water at home and it probably would taste much better. When it was run by the previous owners it just seemed much better kept and consistent. No cutting corners to save money, either. It's just not right It's going to get people really sick ! 😷 🤢

They forgot to put any vegetables on my sub, only put one slice of meat. I called and they couldn’t understand me and thought I was trying to place an order. Unbelievable

Would give 0 stars. New owners ruined this store. Made me stop buying subway. The franchise should discontinue this location
Used to love this Subway, but it’s been terrible since new ownership/management has taken over. Employees don’t seem to understand what they’re making. Subs are sloppy. Found a hair in a sub, as well as a piece of some sort of unidentified plastic. Bacon was raw. They only had 2 sodas in the soda fountain that weren’t out of order and only two kinds of chips, compared to the 10-20 options most Subways have. Will absolutely not be back and recommend that others support the various other restaurants in the area.

Ordered a tuna sub for pick up. Hardly any tuna. Sloppy, looked like whoever made it just threw small handfuls on the sandwich.
New owner and new staff are incredibly rude.
Usually very clean. Staff is Usually very friendly and I've never had a meal that wasn't very fresh and prepared in a prompt and accurate manner
We always loved this shop. Today we learned it was under new ownership because the food was horrible. The new owner is rude and didn't fix our soggy subs on stale bread.
We ordered on the app. and just went in and got our bag and went home.
Bread was old, less then half of normal stuff on the subs.
Will not return.
