Best Philly cheesesteak and pizza!

Thought I give this place a second try if you want a cheesesteak overly stuffed with tasteless meat and saturated with cheese sauce this is your place. You'd be better off going across the street to Maple Glen Pizza hands down they have a better cheesesteak.
Is the price worth the taste? $17 cheesesteak with fried onions and American cheese (not standard cooper sharp) as I’m old school, all on a seeded roll. Pound for pound, you are getting some fantastically seasoned steak, and a lot of it!
Listen, people are going to say what their favorite steak shop is, this one is close to my house, but I’d still travel to Dalessandro’s , but this place is pretty much just as, if not better than Dalessandro’s. It’s a pricey sandwich, and I think it comes out to the same amount of 2 Dalessandro’s sandwiches, so there’s that statistical difference.

I ate half, split with my wife, and hulled out the other, then filled a Pyrex 7 cup bowl as seen in the picture, and that’s a lot! I have to say the this place edges out Dalessandro’s because you can sit down and eat at the tables or counter. Dalessandro’s used to have a space to eat inside, but since COVID, have not reopened it which is a shame. I have not had a pizza from this place , but I will.

I tell everyone that I know a this place. There is nothing not to like about the food and service! This is a well oiled machine serving great pizza and sandwiches ( no hoagies) the cheesesteaks are amazing ! Bring an appetite! The pizza slices are massive. All the sandwiches are pizza is by far better than anything in this area !!! I no longer have to drive 30 minutes to get an authentic cheesesteak!
I am in the food industry and I watch the organization that they have in place to serve the customers timely and efficiently! The staff is friendly and they look like they enjoy working there!
I live close by and I go every chance I get .
I wish I knew about this place sooner!

Ok I really do like Verona and it is Better than others in the area.
Well I went again on Saturday September 13 2025 8 pm ( around) ordered a cheesesteak and a a few other things.
I live very close by.
I got my cheesesteak and it was obviously sandbagged ( prepared ahead of time time) when the sandwich is wrapped the roll gets steamed and changes the texture of the roll making it tough . Really was disappointed . A fresh roll was now worthless. The sandwich reduced to something to eat with a fork not worth biting into.
This is not debatable regarding what happened .
I only hope that this is not happening frequently and my situation was a one off .
I love that they are so close and had been enjoying their food.
but gonna think twice! I’d rather drive and be happy than have false expectations.

Got the cheese steak with copper sharp and f/o and chicken cheese steak with wiz. Phenomenal. Had my buddy out of town try it and he loved them both. I mean look how loaded these are, and they were packed with flavor

Hands down one of the best cheese steaks in the Delaware Valley. Cooper sharp, a great seeded roll and over 2lbs of meat. One of these can feed our family of three. We also had the hot honey pepperoni pizza which was also really good.
