I was surprised a restaurant with tavern in the name would be open for breakfast, but they have a very good breakfast menu and even a delicious apple cider mimosa. The food was very good & service was friendly. It’s a lot higher than I expected and I like the decor a lot.

Horrible dining experience 10/6. Our server was essentially absent. Took 30 minutes for him to even bring us water. It was unseasonably hot and we were in sunlight on the patio. We placed our drink and food orders at the same time. The drink order took an additional 30 minutes and by that time our server hadn’t come back one single time and our water glasses were empty. The manager wasn’t apologetic in the slightest and treated my group like we were the problem. I can genuinely say this was the worst dining experience I’ve had in my 32 years of life.

Where do all these great reviews come from ? The place sucks. Service is like the dumpster station they are built next to, Vogel. (The patio is sandwiched between a garbage transfer station and rt 228) The Female manager is arrogant, rude, and lacks professional polish I really fail to understand why she stays. She has constant gargoyle face, seems better suited for the Department of motor vehicles.
I’d avoid all their restaurants. Spears steak house put horseradish in a Caesar salad… Kauffman tavern and breakneck literally flip flop menus for a “seasonal change” corn and bacon risotto is boring and 7 years old now.
At this price point either spend half and go to long horn in cranberry or spend slightly more and go to Napa prime,
The staff is also constantly rotating, a sign of poor leadership. I’m a local. Live in mars. Love the area. I can walk to breakneck and I avoid it like the plague. Do with that what you will future diners, may the odds be in your favor.

Visited on a recent Friday night and the place was packed. If not for our reservation for 6, we'd still be waiting ?. That said, 2-thumbs up for this establishment. In addition to the great craft beer selection, I enjoyed what was probably the best fried chicken sandwich I've had in quite a while. And the brussel sprouts were prepared excellently. In fact, all six adults in our party thoroughly enjoyed their various different meals. I'll be back.

I took my aunt here to celebrate her birthday. We were very pleased with the service. Our food arrived in a timely manner. Denise K. GOAT waitress provided amazing service. She was very polite and checked on us frequently. The food was great. The atmosphere was pleasant.

Had the worst service yesterday morning for brunch. Friends and I stopped at Breakneck to eat after walking in a charity event that morning. We were seated outside on a 75+ degree day and did not see one server for at least 40 minutes and when we finally saw our server, he just dropped off waters and left to attend to another table. No introduction, or "hi, how you doing". After he finally came back to get our drink and food order, we sat for another hour or so when, who I can assume was the manager, came over to ask if we needed anything. We said that we needed additional waters, our drinks from the bar, and we were still waiting on our food. Instead of apologizing and running to check on our order, she just made excuses. And when we described our server, she just said "Oh, that's William" in a tone that was not reassuring. Well we waiting again for a while to finally get our drinks and food. Mind you - in the two hours plus we were at the restaurant, William only stopped by to bring us our initial waters and finally help bring out our food and drinks from the bar. Another server from another table gave us additional water and silverware. An apology, water refills, and attentiveness would have gone a long way from either the manager or William but we received nothing of the kind. Don't go there if you want to have friendly or relatively timely service. We won't be back.

I'm updating a positive review to a slightky more negative one.
Made a reservation, seated timely, yet my family and I waited an hour for our food, in a place that had 10 to 15 open tables around us. On top of it, they screwed up my order (after an hour wait) and I sent it back. That seemed to take a while, so I just canceled it. Looks like you ate the first steak and second steak.
Additionally, a family sat down after us, got their food 30 minutes before us and finished and left right when our food arrived. Zero consistency and standards.
Although the food can be very good, the service is awful. I don't think I'm coming back. The service has been bad the last five visits.
Your food is too expensive to operate like this. You can't scale.

We were seated outside after we asked to be seated inside. Then, no one came to our table for 30 minutes to get us drinks or talk to us. We didn't even have any place settings at our table. We ordered our entire meal once someone came to take our initial order and it took 3.5 hours for our entrees to arrive. My husband's shrimp & grits seemed like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for quite awhile. It was very dried out and the rest of our meals were mediocre. Very disappointed in the food & service.

We have been to Breakneck Tavern several times and always had a good experience however this was not the case this past Saturday, primarily due to the service. Our waiter was late getting to our table, took wrong drink order and was inattentive. I specifically asked that my salad be served first which did not happen, everything being served at once. Folks who came in well after us were served, ate and gone while we languished waiting for our server. It will be a while before we return!
