Honestly iv been here many times. Never had a bad experience. But this time on the back patio there were 4 girls working and not a single 1 came and asked us if we wanted menus. Nor if we wanted another drink. After 45 minutes I approached a girl and she got snappy right out the gate with me talking about well you guys have been getting drinks from the bar. I told her we got 1 drink paid for it and came and sat down. Not cool. Its Suppose to be fun and enjoy myself not have animosity with the waitress because I wanted food and drinks. I didn't know if u got drinks from the bar you automatically dont get service on the patio note taken

Cozy little tavern in the small town of McKean PA. Friendly atmosphere and a good place to come solo or bring the family. The employees were welcoming and the right amount of service. I will come again. I had the Chicken Baco Ranch sandwich with waffle fries.
The service was great and employees were welcoming. Sometimes it’s hard to find a place with good drinks, food, service, and an understanding of what to do with small children. McKean Tavern is a good go-to place.

As a McKean resident I would like to support local businesses but this place has horrible service, the waitresses and bartenders are very rude and don't even acknowledge me and my guests when we come in. this has been going on since covid as it seems they lost most of there good employees since then other then Chelsea is the only decent one still there she is very friendly. Food is hit and miss depending on cook. we have given this place many chances but definitely is not what it used to be.
