Good service, the server was hustling which I really appreciated, food was excellent, the fact they include bread and soup or salad with the entree makes it very reasonable pricing. Food itself was delicious- just as good as what we had in Italy. I had the chicken piccata which hit the spot, loved the sauce and capers and super tender chicken. The pasta Alfredo was so tasty it moved my pregnant wife to tears so you KNOW it’s good!! Definitely worth a visit ?

This place is a hidden gem for sure, I’ve driven past it hundreds if not thousands of times. Finally stopped in and wow, one of the best meals I’ve ever had, service was great, owner was great, the chef, man that guy knows what he’s doing. If you haven’t, you need to eat

The chef / owner was out ill so his assistant chef filled in when I had dinner here with friends last week . The night we were there only two other tables were occupied . I ordered eggplant Parmesan, which was ok my two friends both had chicken which they said they enjoyed. My entrée was served with a side of ziti pasta and a small salad . The marinara sauce on the pasta tasted like tomatoes straight out of a can with no seasoning, and the pasta was cold- disappointing . The salad was good . On the positive side they have a BYOB option with no corkage fee and the restaurant is family friendly, with table seating and take out . In addition the restaurants' bread is fresh from Mancini's bakery which is a few blocks away and it is served with butter or olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. The staff and the assistant chef were very helpful nice people . The restaurant is in a neighborhood that is unfortunately in decline and I felt that the entrée prices were expensive not only for the quality of the food the ambience of the restaurant, which was like a pizzeria with tables, and the location. I believe that my eggplant with a side of pasta and a small salad was $26.50 The food & atmosphere overall was mediocre. However I do want to mention again that the owner/ chef was not there that night due to illness.

Food and service were great! Large portion sizes! Ambiance was like a bistro - could be a little loud if really crowded.

How did I not know about this place?? It’s old school Pittsburgh Italian at its finest!! Unassuming atmosphere that grows on you once you settle in. Fantastic menu matched by the outstanding quality & amazing taste of the food!! We did the stuffed peppers along with beans & greens?to start. Everyone loved what they ordered. Freshly made linguine with flavorful sauces; just like your Italian momma made! Zero fee BYOB was great. But the pièce de résistance was the lemon ? cake!! Divine. Efficient service & a visit from the owner made the night quite remarkable & worth the trek to the rocks!

Food was really good. A lot of Italian restaurants I've been to were not as good as this places food! You get a really good amount of food. I got the Gnocci and it came with either a salad or soup but i got the salad. The dressing was homemade and delicious. The Gnocci was amazing. Everyone working was all so friendly! Definitely recommend going to this place and we definitely will be back.

Six of us just had a terrific dinner here. BYOB, so a savings there. But prices were fair, and everything was absolutely delicious. We were the only occupied table in the place, which is too bad. It would be a shame if the neighborhood (and Pgh!) lost this gem. I can't imagine what they could do to improve the place -- we thought it was perfect. Please do check them out. We want to go back and would be heart-broken if they closed!

Excellent in all areas. Food was delicious. Best greens and beans we've ever had. Sauce on my pasta tasted like it was made from fresh tomatoes. No room for dessert, but will make another visit soon.

We loved everything about the place. Not having a liquor license made the food value exceptional.

Awful and indifferent. Did not pound or bread chicken Romano. Server decided to go catch turtles in the middle of our meal. Disgusting

Waited 2.5 hours for our meal. There was no real waiter, just old friendly man who was so slow. My daughter had to help refill the water for our group along with serving our meals as they are on the counter. My meal was awful, veal Romano. It was soaked in butter and it came with basically buttered noodles. Also it's location in West Park (McKees Rocks) is terrible. I didn't feel safe as sketchy people constantly walked by. My recommendation is to sell the place and relocate. It was also grossly hot inside the place. The only positive is that there was no corkage fee but we had to get our own glasses. Don't go here!
