From the bottom of my heart I have to thank Ashley for creating such an amazing space. Myself and my partner became regulars at this location around two years ago and no matter what we always stopped in any chance we got. You guys have the best coffee shop in pittsburgh along with the best baristas. I absolutely love the place you created and how inclusive and diverse everything is. I absolutely love Black Forge and will be continuing to support you guys anyway that I can, thank y’all for everything
They over-roast the beans just a bit, but the snacks are really good and the service is almost always great. Very nice for folks who are edgy or just don't care for mainstream coffee spots. Would recommend. However, highly upset they removed the Valhalla. (Please bring it back, that's my favorite!!)
Vegetarian options: They offer different varieties of milks/creams and usually ask for your preferences.
Dietary restrictions: Their drinks are simple and easy to customize, and they use good ingredients so don't fear to ask for alternatives for allergies or preferences.
Really loved the vibe of this place. Unique, delicious coffees. Friendly staff. Loved the intimate feel. Was there for a concert and it was a comfortable vibe. Had vip for the band so we went down to the "green room". It's small but loved the spooky, vampire type decorations.I wish I lived close enough to get at least a weekly coffee. Great little place.
Best coffee shop in the Allentown and Mckeesrock area. And here’s what’s even cooler is they both have little stages where rock bands can perform. The staff is friendly and the coffee is good and the atmosphere is really cool.
Really ridiculously good coffee plus Type O Negative references. First stop when I visit Pittsburgh.
Came here to watch a School of Rock performance, grabbed some yummy drinks to enjoy. Great venue and friendly service.
Love BFCH! The way they customize drinks and bring a variety of ingredients together is always amazing! The staff are awesome and can really make you feel at home. They always greet you warmly and ask you about your day.Awesome customer service. Rock on!
I absolutely love black forge! I had only been to the old location until last week and I am so happy I went to this location! All of their drinks are amazing..
This place is far too cool to exist in McKees Rocks! I've only been there twice, and I've never seen any of the Metal bands that play there, but the intensely Gothic/Metal/Magic vibe should make it Holy Ground to Metal aficionados, Witches, and Dark Bohemians everywhere. Think "The Beehive" of the Left Hand Path!
Parking: Parking lot in the back, fits maybe 20+ cars. Lots of street parking. The walls of the lot have paintings of Lovecraftian Monsters drinking coffee lol!
Great coffee that also has a music venue!

This place is awesome! The staff is super friendly. The merch is high quality. The coffee is the best I’ve ever had. Person making it made it sooo good ?
Aside from their tasty brews... their metal karaoke nights are epic. I love the vibe and the staff. Good job Ashley (owner)! Chad is also doing a good job as General Manager!
The coffee was awesome, the bands were great, the atmosphere was really unique and fun, my only criticism (and it's not even really a criticism as much as it is a suggestion) would be that they should get their liquor license so that they can make alcoholic coffees.
Nice little venue for Heavy Metal and Punk Rock. Delicious fresh-roasted coffee. They roast them right on the premises! Lots of interesting coffee and tea choices.
Devilishly delicious drinks! Today I had a Hell Hound—fantastic! The perfect blend of espresso, chocolate, cinnamon and chili over ice-to fan the flames of hell outside! Well worth the wait! 10/10 I highly recommend!
