I have called this place about 20 times over the span of a few days and no answer. Are they permanently closed???

Wanted to order something from the online menu and was told the online menu was old. When we tried to order something from the menu inside the restaurant they didn't have that food either. The menu has listed smothered chicken. They did not have the gravy for smother. The menu said we can order beef in our african dish. They do not have beef. They said they sold out, but the restaurant had just opened 1 hour before. Really disappointed!

I ordered thru Uber eats. I got the whole red snapper and the seafood plate and it was really good. Everything was seasoned well and the portions are great. The snapper came with peppers, onions and jollof rice. The seafood platter was cat fish (a big fillet), a couple shrimp, hush puppies and fries. The food was really good. I checked the reviews AFTER I already ordered and I was super nervous not gonna lie. But the food was really good. It was worth the money I spent for sure.

My girlfriend ordered through uber eats, paid a total of $80 and we were missing multiple items. The items that we did get we weren't even able to eat because there was a hair in the jollof rice. So insanely disappointing. Ethnic cuisine is SO limited in Pittsburgh and we were willing to pay an obscene amount for what we thought would be authentic and sanitary food. Genuinely so disappointed. The food that we did try prior to finding the hair (which was only a side of cornbread and a spoonful of okra soup) was good- no doubt, as it is African cuisine. But the fact that we missed multiple items on an expensive order AND the items that we did get were dirty is frankly disgusting. Doesn't matter how good the food could have been had we not been turned off by the literal HAIR. 80 DOLLARS for two people because we were genuinely excited to support a local business. We aren't the only review that has had an unsanitary experience with the food either. So so so insanely disappointed. There are other authentic African cuisine locations in Pittsburgh- I recommend you try from there instead if you want something you can actually eat that is worth the price you paid for.

The cornbread was delicious however there was a hair in my jollof rice and they forgot my orders of mac and cheese. I wish I listened to the red flag review which mentioned they dropped food on the floor. I’m disgusted which is sad because I really wanted to like and support this place.

We went hear with a friend from Nigerian who was craving some home cooking! He and my husband had the Nigerian Jollof rice (they make the Ghanan style, too). Our friend gave it a big thumbs up and my husband enjoyed it too. Our friend also enjoyed the pepper soup. The woman who waited on us was lovely and helpful with the menu. I highly recommend this place.

Really loved the food here - we were on our way home, so we grabbed it for take out. Very quick service. Can’t wait to go back and try more stuff from their menu.

Fabs is the best! Pittsbirgh definitely needs an African restaurant that does wonders with American food supply to make home cooked food! We know american soils, animals and vegetation pale in comparison to Africa! But Inlove Fabs nonetheless! At least once or twice a week my body calls for my pouniTyam oo, ego riro, asun or pepper soup. My mom asks for the whole fish almost every day! IM LIKE MAAAA! WELL DONE FABS! We love you oo
