On the whole, our food was excellent! Highly recommend the fireman roll, rainbow roll, and gyoza. Unfortunately, the General Tso's chicken (which had a good flavor) was dried out and the rice was hard and inedible. Granted, it was towards the end of the night, so we are definitely going to give it another chance.

I’ve had the chicken teriyaki bowl and now the salmon bowl and it’s out of this world! It’s so cheap too! I highly recommend this establishment! As an added bonus they have things for sale that are awesome!

Wow! Actually so good! I was very pleasantly surprised how delicious and kind the workers are as well! 10/10!
We've just moved to this state from a location where the sushi was really suffering. Having live all over the country and coastal area, I've had really good sushi.
I was hopeful about the review about Sakura that the food would be good, I was not expecting the quality we received.
I have a very picky eater while my other one loves Japanese food and sushi. For my youngest, it can be a hit or miss when it comes to eating out. But sometimes, she will eat some fried rice. Let me tell you friend, she ate the whole bowl eagerly.
I ordered the Tuna Tataki to share with my oldest, a California roll for her, a spicy tuna roll for myself, and unagi sashimi for myself.
We LOVED the Tuna Tataki! The tuna was so meaty and fresh. The spicy tuna roll was probably the best I have had since living on the coast. It was delicious. The unagi, that's really a make or break for me, but ...this unagi was perfect and so delicious. Perfectly temped and glazed.
Our plates are empty. Our bellies are full. My wallet is not hurting. And my kids are happy so I'm very happy. This will be our new to go sushi place in the area. We loved Sakura.
The staff was accommodating and kind. The service was fast but did not affect quality. The indoor eating was clean, simple, and to the point. No decor but that doesn't add or subtract from the chill no frills ambiance of the store front. We will definitely be finding in again or picking up for takeout!

Surprisingly some of the best sushi I have had in Pittsburgh. This unassuming restaurant will not disappoint! They have a huge selection of vegetarian sushi which I appreciate!

This is a hidden gem in McKeesport! Excellent food and seems to be owned/run by a young family. It is not a traditional hibachi in that you sit around a grill. Everything is made in the kitchen and brought out. Limited seating as there are approximately five booths. Do not let that deter you and the food was absolutely delicious! We had the steak and shrimp combo hibachi with fried rice, salad, yum yum sauce and crab rangoon. It was all fresh and hot and the dipping sauces were very tasty. The fried rice was different from other places that just taste like Kikkoman sauce, this had a unique flavor to it and it was great. We will absolutely be back.

A great place, honestly. I had spent a whole year looking for salmon teriyaki that WASN'T watered down and they gave me exactly what I was looking for. Aside from that they have good service and their other menu items are good aswell!

Place was clean and the staff was friendly. My order was timely. The General Tso was very very dry and hard to chew. The sauce was slightly sweet but flavorless. (Weird) looks like white meat inside instead of thighs that is usually used but idk Also I up charged for fried rice instead of white which I received only brown rice again no flavor at all just light oil or something on it no veggies, egg, onion etc… or nothing else just brown rice. The wonton soup was pretty ok. Ordered 5-29 after a 10.5 shift and very disappointed it was not edible. I heard such good things about this place. Hope this is an isolated incident and others will continue to enjoy. It was a no for me.

So glad McKeesport has a place like this! Got the Rangoons, General Tso & Sesame chicken, miso soup, & fried rice. It was very good, hot, and ready fast. Really hope they stick around.
