We were the only ones there and our food took a VERY VERY LONG time. It was not good. Sauceless Pad Thai and my sushi roll came lit on fire. Yes, it was on fire. Fried dumplings were huge and all dough. Nothing came out together. Staff was very inattentive. Had to wait for our bill after we tried to pay, server said they would be back. There are so many options, I would pass on this one being one of them.

Wonton soup was not good ! We had sesame chicken. Not 1 vegetable in with it. Just big fried pieces of chicken in tons of sauce. Too unhealthy for me I don’t know what I was thinking

We ordered the dinner menu for lunch because we were really hungry and the lady who took our order was spectacular and also when we came home and we ate the food it was very delicious. We give it five stars even more than that. And the people were so wonderful. Go there. You will be surprised the deliciousness.

Tofu with garlic sauce was really good. Staffs are really welcoming. Lunch special is pocket friendly and portions are large enough to feed one.

I have known the owner of this restaurant for 25 years, he always has fresh sushi, I travel all over the region, and there’s only one sushi place in four states that I will eat other than his restaurant, and that restaurant is in Baltimore, Maryland. I’ve eaten a lot of high-end sashimi style places in this place surpasses all of them great quantity for the price and always a very friendly atmosphere highly recommend this place in PITTSBURGH area.

The sushi is hit or miss here. With the hits just being slightly above average and the misses making it a completely inedible meal, today we just wasted $50. Kids also complained that the teriyaki skewers(which they typically dont mind) tasted odd and the parents confirmed, the meat tasted off.
The quality of the Kobe roll we ordered was embarrassing. Sloppy execution, the tuna was spit out of your mouth atrocious with it being slightly warm(despite them including a plastic bag of ice) and had horrible color. You can see in the pics and it makes you wonder how old the sushi is.
This will be the last time we order from this place.

Tonight we ordered for take-out chicken vegetables with spicy sauce, 2 shrimp spring rolls and miso soup. The soup was good, the shrimp spring rolls were fantastic! But the chicken veggies entree was soft, overcooked, and no spice at all. Tasteless. Very disappointed.
Listen I am extremely picky when it comes to Chinese food and in turn my kids & husband are, as well..and Bean Curd is the only restaurant we will eat Chinese from. It's consistently delicious.. always fresh... and EVERYONE on staff, from the the front end who are answering the phones/taking pickup &/or delivery orders, to the servers, to the delivery person..are the sweetest people whom are always smiling, so pleasant and are genuinely happy to see & talk to you. You will enjoy your experience here..if not, then I'm sorry but it's probably you.

A few months ago I bought 2 dinners. The chicken and vegetables with brown sauce was bland…I thought the chef might have been having an off day, no big deal. Been going to the Bean Curd for years and never, ever had a bad meal. Bought the same dinners again tonight.
The chef clearly needs replaced!!! My chicken and vegetables were so bland, it had no flavor whatsoever so ever!!! The egg roll was so spicy ( never was in the past) I couldn’t eat it….my dinner went into the garbage!
I do hope the owners of the Bean Curd sees this and clearly does something because you’ve lost my business.

This used to be the best around. I threw away my take home. The Subgum rice had generous meat and seafood, but the beef in it was yuck. The ribs were hard to eat with all fat and just a veneer of meat. I don't eat sushi, but my host liked it.
