We had NR BBQ cater our wedding yesterday and all of our guest raved about how amazing the food was. These guys were a dream to work with and were very attentive through the whole experience. Cannot say enough good things about these guys.

This place is awesome! The prices are unbelievable for what you get! I am away alot from the area but when I get back home its a trip for takeout for home! You can not go wrong with the beef, pork or chicken. Jim and Denise, I enjoyed the time you had us over long before you opened for a kid's school get together. Now can just roll down when home and pick up a to go platter without crashing the party..lol.

We visit here almost weekly! Everything we've had is excellent! The pulled pork, pulled chicken and pit beef are delicious! The mac and cheese is my FAVORITE! My hubby LOVES the coleslaw! Great people and friendly service! Definitely check them out for a fantastic meal or consider them for catering!

I got the pulled pork . It's just ok. NOT 5 stars worthy. The sides are small. But probably worth the $2 cost. The mac n cheese is Not like Chick Fila. So you'll have to lower your expectations. The Cole slaw was just terrible.The baked beans were diffently cheap beans from a can.If I would compare this to Mission Barbecue, and Mission bbq was a 10. Northern Redneck BBQ is a 2.

NR BBQ catered my employee party for 20 at Fat Bat. The food arrived on time and was delicious. Everyone at the party commented on the quality. We had pork, chicken, beans, green beans, and Mac and cheese. I highly recommend!
We went for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. This was the best bbq we have had since we have been in the DMV (2 years). We are from South Carolina and this reminded us of home. The pulled pork was phenomenal, the hot bbq sauce was sweet and spicy and the baked beans had ground meat, green peppers and onions. It looked a little sketchy but it is so worth it.

I love that this spot is being used. I'm glad it's open year round, too, since you walk up to it and don't go inside.
I only tried the chicken. Quite good, especially with the sauce. They give you a good-sized portion for $7.
The only con is the bread/roll. It doesn't hold up if you aren't going to eat it right away. I got this for my lunch at work. By the time I ate it, it was a bit soggy. If you don't plan on eating right away, I'd ask them to separate the roll to use later.

I’m new in the area and yesterday. I’m just taking a walk and ended up at this place and it was cold and windy yesterday I decided to check it out. I got a pulled pork sandwich With their sweet barbecue sauce with baked beans and it was absolutely delicious and it warmed me right up and the prices are extremely reasonable and good. I paid 9$ for a huge pulled pork sandwich and Baked beans. It was the best pulled pork I’ve had in a very long time. I highly recommend you go!!!
