Compadres Mexican Restaurant

Having recently moved back to the Meadville area after 20+ years, I was looking forward to trying Compadres. When a friend visited from out of town, it was the perfect time to stop in. We were not disappointed! Our dinners were delicious and our margaritas were strong! Will definitely be back!

The lunch Charnitas Fajitas were the best I ever had.

I used to love coming here with friends for dinner but after the third time getting sick, I won’t be back. I have an allergy and I order my food accordingly, and let the staff know. Yesterday, I ordered hard tacos and they came out in soft shells. I explained to the staff who took the order, who also happened to be the manager on duty, that my allergy is like that of someone who has a peanut allergy, and that he can’t just put it into a hard shell. He seemed annoyed that I needed him to change my food, took it back, brought it back out. I ate my couple of tacos, one of which was half soggy but I was like okay, maybe it’s just from condensation (but now I’m not sure), and underneath my food were hairs. Like super fine hairs. Obviously that’s gross and so I told the manager and he didn’t care at all. He literally didn’t even look at the plate, and just said he’d take my small cheese off of my bill for the “inconvenience”. Um sir, it’s not just “inconvenient” to have hair on my plate of food or for you to get my allergy specific order wrong. Also, within 20 minutes I got violently ill and had to stop somewhere on my way home. So, I’m going to hedge my bets that once again, they just put the same food into the other shells. Anyway, I won’t be back. Margarita King is owned by the same people and I’ve had a way better experience there with service. If you have an allergy, don’t expect it to be taken seriously if that guy is on as manager. Dora is great, but this guy, not so much.

Fantastic food, great service, and easy to get too. I had the best steak fajitas, with a side of guacamole. Just amazing to say the least.

After many years of loving this restaurant, I’m sad to say I’ll never go back. Got a severe good poisoning after visiting their Meadville location 🤢🤢. I can only imagine how unsanitary their kitchen must be.

The food is pretty good but I find this restaurant to he overpriced for the quantity of food you get.

20.00 burrito that had imitation meat asked about the tacos they said meat and cheese if you want tomato, lettuce sour cream salsa it’s an up charge! That’s rediculous on so many levels especially at a Mexican restaurant.
I will NEVER eat at another compadres,
McDonald’s food would have pleased me better! And that’s no lie!
