I can’t believe that I had not visited Bittersweet Kitchen before. I have had celiacs for over a decade and I just finished the very best GFPizza that I have ever consumed. It reminded me of NY Style Sicilian Pie - the thickest crust, smothered in fresh veggies. I chose roasted tomatoes, fresh artichoke, Kalamata olives, onions and feta. It was to die for! I arrived hungry, and left with a happy belly, dreaming of the leftovers waiting for me in the fridge. You have a new customer, Bittersweet! 💙
One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. Everything was cooked perfectly and with care for presentation. Coffee was excellent and so was the service. The place was busy in the morning as to be expected but I did not have to wait long at all for my meal. Incredible! The omelette and home fries were cooked perfectly!

The food was very good. The avocado toast was good except the avocado mash could’ve had a little less lemon or lime juice added to their mix. Despite that, it’s better than many other places I’ve had avocado toast. :) The portions were big too so that was nice.
In regard to the entire place, the atmosphere is warm and comforting with dark walls and nice bar seating at the window with the sun shining in. Overall I enjoyed my experience here. 😁😊
Oh and the hot chocolate is delicious! So remember to try it while you’re there.

I’ve ordered takeout from Bittersweet a few times, and the staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming. My favorite is the avocado toast, which comes with a sweet and delicious bacon topping.

Great brunch spot and reasonable prices. If you go during a peak time be ready to wait a bit, but we were told 40 min and we waited right around that time and could walk around while we waited for a call. The grilled cheese tomato soup combo was perfect and the pancakes were super fluffy. Service was attentive and everyone was so nice.

Bittersweet seriously has the best food- the bittersweet breakfast is a great deal and they have the best potatoes. Also tried their pizza recently and it was insanely good. Will definitely be returning for more!

very crowded, the kitchen was behind, and it took an hour to get us our breakfast. It was not the waitress‘s fault. No attempt to give us a small discount for our trouble. I will hit first watch next time. I cannot recommend this establishment.

Small, cute cafe, delicious Caesar salad and pizza. We were lucky to get the last pizza! The crust was thick & tasty and sauce was delicious. I must return to try one of the scrumptious looking breakfasts!!!

A++. We were not disappointed! My sister had an 8 hour layover at the airport so we decided to drive the 3 hours to Philly to meet her and get some breakfast. There was a bit of a wait (25-35 min) so we decided to take the first available table which happened to be outside (in the sprinkling rain). The umbrellas helped a bit, but when the wind blew we got a dash of water on us.
Regardless, it made for a fun family experience with some excellent food! 2 of us got their Southern Pileup (sausage gravy over biscuits). My wife got their Pumpkin Pecan Pancakes, and my daughter got their steak and eggs. We also got some sides of bacon and sausage. The sausage patties were probably the most delicious that I have had in a while. The service was friendly and excellent. The next time we come back to the Philly area, we are stopping again.
