I was visiting a friend in Swarthmore who took me to this cool cafe. Best coffee I've had in a long time. Atmosphere and staff made me feel right at home. If I lived in the area, this would be my hangout. Make sure to buy a bag of granola! I brought some home. So good.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon my favorite little town and discovered another charming gem - Cafe Isla in Media! The presence of a little free library was the icing on the cake, confirming I was in the right spot. I highly recommend stopping by, grabbing a cup of coffee, and picking up a great read. The staff is lovely, the decor and vibe are awesome, the music is great, and the drinks and food are delicious!

A couple of friends took us here after walking at Ridley Creek Park. I had a cappuccino and my wife had an Iced Green Matcha Tea with Honey and Oat Milk. Both were delicious. Cafe Isla is a cool place. You can relax with nice music or work on your laptop while having a drink and a healthy snack. They have a selection of baked goods including gluten options.

I didn't know about this place until today because of the street construction that has the alley mostly closed off. They are still easy to get to but not easy to find if you don't know they're there. Great coffee and awesome atmosphere. Prompt service.

Not only are the lattes heavenly - it is the cutest cafe I've ever been to. It is unique and the staff is so super sweet. It is a great place to go and sit and enjoy the atmosphere along with your delicious drinks. They have art in there, beautiful plants, and much more to look at. I really love coming here! Make sure you try to seasonal specials they have they are ALWAYS good!!

I have been going to Café Isla since it began and I still believe that it is the best café in town. The food is wonderful and definitely matches the cozy feeling. The drinks are great. The service is easily the best part. The owner is almost always there and he remembers a face. He always says hello and asks about how I’m doing. He knows my family members that come in with me sometimes and asks about them if they’re not with me. They have beautiful paintings on the wall and I believe you can buy them if you ask about them. They also have live music. You can sit indoors or outdoors and enjoy the scenery. It’s right in the heart of the town too so you can enjoy a cup and then walk around town. Highly recommend this place.
Kid-friendliness: The space is cozy and warm. I used to go here as a kid and I loved the atmosphere. It really made for a calm space. If you have energetic kids, you can sit outside and there’s a fountain, a wall to draw with chalk, and some cool stone tables with chess boards engraved. As I said earlier, they also have music and I’ve seen plenty of children dancing around outside to the music.
We stumbled upon this place the other day and we are hooked. So cozy, coffee was heavenly, vegan baked goods, and the people make you feel like you’ve known them your entire life. ❤️
