GREAT IRISH BAR. WARM AND INVITING. LIVELY BANTER, AND OF COURSE; EXCELLENT GUINESS!!!!!

Getting in the holiday spirit here and jumping the shark on thanksgiving. But what a great place. Something about it makes for easy and interesting conversation with strangers.

IOW, a pub.

Is it a pub? Is it a restaurant? At 4pm it is the latter, but by 6 pm it is the former. Nevertheless two things holding the same space can only be pigeon held to certain compartments for so long before they bleed together and confound the total structure. The bathroom smells like fish, but not those fish from under water, but from underwear. The porcelain drain hole of the bathroom sink is cracked in and filled with shards and obscure rubbish. If this were solely a pub, it would be home. If it were a restaurant it would be a lovely place to dine. But I am truly ambivalent to qualify this place as either good or bad since it's being is teathered between two ends. Howrver, if you want to get drunk go here. If you want to bring a date here, go before the night. It is nice, but it confuses me. It is an absurd monument to the hyper-real society we exist within.

Look this place up after a Philadelphia Phillies game to stop for a bite to eat sat for 15 minutes. Nobody waited on us walked out….

They promote a televised event, yet are incapable of locating the channel on which it's broadcast. Not recommended for viewing sporting events

I stopped in on a recent Wednesday night, hoping to try out the Towne House but was ushered back to Shebeen. It’s got the feel of an Irish pub. The shepherds pie was delicious so were the potato and bacon croquettes. A nice pint of Guinness to wash it all down to make me pretty happy. Ended up spending more than I thought though.

Great place for a drink. Expresso old fashion was good and I don't like coffee. Will be visiting again

This place is deceiving. I’ve been here once before for drinks and the place is pricey but I thought it was worth it so I brought my family until I realized it wasn’t when my dad ate his Mac and cheese and found some sort of metal or wire in his food and pulled out of his mouth thank god before swallowing it. We asked for the manager and she didn’t really seem too concerned, she looked at the metal said she didn’t know what it could be, dropped it, apologized, and said she’d talk to the kitchen about it. I expressed my concern of the safety if he swallowed and the risks of abscesses or that metal imbedding in his throat or what if it was a child’s meal that happened to. She took the meal off and our drinks off the check and that was about it with it still coming to about $130. Our waitress was really nice and apologetic about our experience her name was Adrianna. Just think they need to match their standards to their prices especially expressing safety and make sure their manager is trained on how to respond to serious situations better

Good food, the wait staff is super nice but the manager/owner lacks any kind of people/customer service skills. We were in town visiting friends that just had a baby, stopped in for breakfast after grabbing coffees which were sitting halfway empty on our table as we were looking through their menus. Literally no one cared about our half empty cups as we weren’t touching them and they could see we were about to order food from the establishment, then the manager or maybe the owner comes up to us and gruffly says “we’re a restaurant no outside food or drink”. While we can understand and certainly abide by this policy (which we ended up taking our stuff out to the car), there are certainly nicer and more pleasant ways to ask and bring it up. Maybe the words “please” or “thank you” would’ve helped as we were literally two seconds from placing an order and providing business to your restaurant. Our waitress even apologized on his behalf. She was amazing and so very kind, maybe management can ask her for pointers on how to interact with other humans.

Thee absolute best place to have a cocktail and chill in Media. The food is also great but who cares when the drinks are that good! Service is great as well with a friendly and accommodating staff.
