Let me get this out of the way before I comment on the food:
I called and placed and order for 4 items which were repeated to me over the phone and I was told it would be ready in 15 mins. I arrived in 30 mins and the man at the desk could not find my order. Hs then called someone on the phone (apparently someone in the back) and found out there was an order taken but not made! There only two tables occupied (one had just ordered, the other hadn’t ordered) and the man explained he didn’t know what was going on and he’d just returned. He told me they would now have to prepare my order. 30 minutes later I was able to get it. I would have left without getting the food but he’d already charged my card before he reluctantly announced they would have to prepare it. How aggravating with no offer of making up for this faux pas.

The food:
The dim sum is good.I got pork and chive dumplings and Shanghai dumplings.
The won-ton soup was terrible - not miuch soup loaded up weirdly with escarole and bok choy and 3 dumplings and it was tasteless!
I also got a shrimp noodle dish which had a load of overcooked noodle soaked in a brown sauce that was bland and tasteless with 5 shrimp which believe or not was also tasteless. Ughhh.

If you must go there stick to their limited dim sum menu and forego the rest!
I’ll be trying dim sum - which I really love - else where.
I don’t think I’ll be checking out the place 2 doors down.
I’m all for forgiving a disastrous first experience except for the fact that of the staff’s attitude.

I've been going to Tom's for years, and the food is always incredibly delicious. The service is excellent, the dishes come out quickly, and everything is reasonably priced. You get a lot for what you pay. I can't imagine going to another Dim Sum restaurant because Tom's is just that amazing. 10/10 recommend!

They don’t turn off their delivery apps when they close, and ruin family dinners for hours because you’re waiting on food to be delivered when they’re, in fact, closed.
And you’re money has already been spent.
Go to Dim Sum Mania!!!!!!

A nice small cozy place to eat. Service was good. Food was good and okay. I say this because I've eaten dim sum food at Wynwood Chinese restaurant and restaurants in Philly Chinatown in the past. They have more varieties of dim sum food selection (i.e., beef trites, chicken feet etc). In Philly Chinatown, food carts would come around your tables where you can visually see and choose your food from. Comparing the taste and quality of the food of these places, I can say that I had eaten better. Tom's dim sum may have other delicious foods on their menu which I didn't try on that day. I did try these for dim sum sake-- beef on the stick was a little salty to me and not a whole lot tasty; my favorites were the sticky rice in banana leaf, dumplings and pancake. Overall, a nice place to eat with limited dim sum entree choices.

I love this place, I really do. But charging $0.75 for a small container of chili oil is no bueno. I would need 4 of these just for myself. I just got $160 worth of take out. Please just give me the damn chili oil ?

The food is good. However, the staff always stand befind the tables talk to each other non stop so loud.

This place is all around wonderful. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is laid back and enjoyable. And above all, the food is mouth watering-ly delicious. It's an hour long trek for me to get here, but absolutely worth it whenever I have time.

My husband and I came here on a Monday night and we were seated immediately. We ordered the chicken soup dumplings, pork soup dumplings, steamed pork buns, sesame rolls, spring rolls and the shrimp fried rice. Everything was delicious! The wait staff were very attentive with taking our orders, bringing out our food and refilling our waters. 10/10 will come here again! I am happy to have found my dim sum fix when I am not able to get to NYC!!

Delicious BYO dim sum restaurant along the main stretch in Media. Menu favorites include: handmade noodle soup, pork soup dumplings, and scallion pancakes.Conveniently located across the street from Trader Joe’s if you’re looking for a great way to round out your date night!

Parking: Paid street parking all along the street in front of the restaurant and in the general vicinity. You can pay for parking using the park mobile app.

By far my favorite chinese place ever. The food is absolutely fantastic, and the staff is extremely attentive. Any time I want asian food, this is exactly where I go.

Parking: In the township of media, so parking is quite limited. There are garages around and meters on both sides of the street. There is also a trolley that goes through very often, which can make it difficult to quickly run in and out.
