Van Horn Steaks is hands down one of the best spots in Media. The sandwiches are always top-notch—fresh, loaded, and full of flavor every time. The staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome the minute you walk in. And don’t sleep on the gumbo… it’s absolutely delicious. If you’re in Media and looking for a great sandwich, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Very disappointed. I’ve had their sandwiches in the past and they were good. Today I got a cheesesteak and it barely had any meat on it. On top of that the roll that was falling apart because it was saturated with grease from the flattop grill. I have no idea how my sandwich ended up like this with that much grease all over the place but it’s enough for me to never go back.

We just returned to Media after 10 years away and found Van Horn’s Steak on a providence Road. The greeting coming in the door was warm and friendly. The atmosphere was homey and inviting. The food was excellent.
We recommend VHS highly and will be back again soon.

1st time and WILL BE BACK! Absolutely amazing, got the Drunken Meatball, 9th Street, Classic Cheesesteak with cooper sharp, & their house Hot Roast Beef sandwich they put extra gravy on the side so good but it didn’t need a thing or a dip. Not one flaw. Also tried some of their house made sauces, garlic aioli (OUTSTANDING), truffle aioli, truffle ketchup, balsamic glaze, & the honey horseradish!
Ordered a roast beef sandwich for pickup. It was ready, hot, and delicious. I inhaled it so I didn't get a picture. The staff was friendly upon pickup. I will be trying new things in the future!

I had the buffalo chicken cheesesteak and a classic cheesesteak. They were both extremely small and for $15 per sandwich I feel robbed. I’ve seen other pictures in the reviews showing much larger sandwiches. This does not reflect what they are now serving so don’t be fooled! Honestly shame on this place for charging those prices and providing such ridiculously small sandwiches. The sandwiches were pretty good and I would have came back but I did not get nearly my moneys worth so I won’t be back. I would likely have stopped at this place multiple times per month too because it’s so close to me but they will lose that revenue due to over priced tiny portions.

Absolutely delicious! My fiancé and I are home sick so ordered takeout. We tried the italian hoagie, the famous Alla Vodka, and a classic cheesesteak. (Mind you this is our first meal of not eating anything for a day or two) . We can’t wait to try more and will be returning. 10/10.

Best Philly cheese steak of my life. It's all about the bread and Vanhorns has figured that out. They remove the excess bread so your sandwich is filled with steak all the way to the crust. The toast on it was perfect. The steak and onions and mushrooms blended perfectly together and were served to us piling hot, which was great on a cold day. Also, the sandwich was very large. I ate the whole thing cause I couldn't stop, but was so full after I didn't want dinner that night!
