Hops & Barleys Middletown

We ambushed Nancy L Stahl and had an absolute blast at Hops and Barleys Middletown. The lobster rolls and old bay fries were ridiculously good. Caprese salad with shrimp was basically the best thing since sliced bread. We met Steve and his staff and they were ridiculously nice. You should check this place out if you want some amazing grub and fun company.

Stopped by with my ex-husband & my daughter for food & a couple drinks.
I got the American burger 🍔, my Ex-husband got the boneless chicken wings, mild; my daughter got the cheese steak.

Beautiful decorated, wonderful atmosphere, amazing staff, and fresh meals with big portions. Will be here again

The quesadillas are crazy good. Better than both of my favorite Mexican restaurants near where I live in Scranton. Actually might come back just for more quesadillas

My sisters and I came in here the day after we lost our Mother. Every single person working greeted us with a smile. We met Steve the owner, and we mentioned to him that we had lost our Mother the previous day. He immediately gave his condolences and invited us back the following day, to decorate stockings. We came back and were greeted by Linny, the beautiful bartender. We ate, drank and decorated the stockings. It was a very nice distraction. Service was 5 stars. Food was 5 stars. Atmosphere also 5 stars! We will be back!!!
P.S. You never know what people are going through. Kindness goes a long way.

Food was excellent. Service and prices were great. Everyone very friendly. Reminds me of the bar/restaurant from 'Cheers'. Will definitely return.
My son and I both had soft shell crab sandwich (off the specials menu). Wife had cheeseburger. She said one of the best she had. Cooked perfectly.

I went in for a dinner meal I have been in here before when it was mediocre busy and the evening that I went in it was not very busy but I thought it was a no smoking restaurant but apparently there was smoking somewhere but I think the ventilation was able to move around or push it out. The bartender / waitress was very nice and considerate I ordered a meatloaf meal with a vegetable and some french fries it was very filling.

We had a great meal on a Monday night. I had the chili and chicken salad. Both were very ample portions. Our son had the Middletown burger, which was very large and moist. There is not a lot of table seating but we found a small table in the far corner. The waitress, Linney, (sp) was very friendly and attentive. Overall a great dining experience and we will make it a regular stop when we visit! Thanks.

Great food, large portions, amazing prices, wonderful bartender/server. We will definitely go back! Prefer volume of baseball game was lower, but got used to it.

After going to Penn State Harrisburg and moving to Middletown a few months after graduation, I have never tried Hops and Barleys and it was ALWAYS there on the corner.

I've had Hops and Barleys food 5 times recently, and I've tried a new menu item each time. Each course deserves a 10/10. The food is SPECTACULAR and you really can't go wrong with the many different options they have. Small menu, but enough choices to satisfy whatever craving you have.

Amazing food, great service, and great location. Chef(s) deserve a raise!!!
